fast-datsun
Idle don not adj in the computer use the IAC adj screw to do it..... Check O2 sensor make sure it's working correctly Many of the wiring companies DO NOT hook up the consult wiring....You may need to wire in the plug. JDM cars are not OBD 1 or 2 only consult port........

Yes I know you adjust the idle with the AAC valve, my ECU doesn't have a idle screw. Check O2 sensor make sure it's working correctly Yeah I have to check the O2. But the ECU didnt throw a O2 code so I aint sure. Many of the wiring companies DO NOT hook up the consult wiring....You may need to wire in the plug. JDM cars are not OBD 1 or 2 only consult port.. Yes I know, thats why I hacked my consult cable and wired it straight to the TX RX clock wires.
jtmny1999
Ok so I tried the laptop using battery and it did the same. Now I found something interesting. First time i wired my cable I followed these directions below from Jerry @ hybridZ Blue = [Clock pin #31 yellow/red] White= [tx pin #22 solid yellow] Yellow= [rx pin #21 brown/yellow] When I have it wired like this it will not read cpu gagues nothing at all. when i start the car it will still freeze the software. Thats how I first had it wired with no success. Well I thought I had mixed up the wires so I tried again and wired it this way. Blue = [Clock pin #31 yellow/red] White= [rx pin #21 brown/yellow] Yellow= [tx pin #22 solid yellow] This way is how I currently have it set at this time and this is the only way it can read the ECU and gagues' date=' but then again I freeze up after start up. Original Instructions The blazt cable colours should match up to the Pin positions in this fashion...Power can be any 12V source prefer ignition source...ground is ground...... Red - Power Black - Gnd Blue - Clock ....... Pin # 31 Diagnostics Clock White - Tx ....... Pin# 22 Diagnostics Send Data Yellow - Rx ....... Data Pin# 21 Diagnostics Receive Data Chk position 47 is not required for NDS software.] FSM RB25det Pin out.
jtmny1999
UPDATE: Well I got the new cable and it won't read the Ecu # now! New cable or old, I think its time to throw my Z off a cliff! Maybe I got a wrong ECU? or bad one?
Careless
just throw the car off a curb instead, and I'll catch it and drive it home. then we can throw my z31 off jack-stands, and you can deal with mechanical stuff instead of electrical stuff. I think that's fair trade.
jtmny1999
Well it looks like my motor came with a automatic transmission and the ECU im running is from a 5 speed manual motor. Is this an issue? or are the Ecu's interchangeable?
