voltron_boi
Hi, I'm going to be picking a brand new set of ground control and a set of kyb shocks for my 75 280z next weeknd. I am just carious if any modify is needed to be done onto the car inorder to make the coilover work, or will everything will just bolt on with no modify. If it requires work to be done then, I won't be getting the set. So please anyone help?
JMortensen
You have to cut the spring perches off the strut and weld the retaining ring that comes with the coilovers on.
rztmartini
not bolt on, but definitely worth it.
voltron_boi
Is it hard to do that, or is it very easy. If it's easy and doesn't cost that much just to do it then I will love to do it. By any chance is their a form that will tell me how to do it?
JMortensen
If you don't have some method of cutting the spring perch off and welding the new one on, it's pretty hard.
rztmartini
exactly, there are a lot of write-ups of how to do it and what not to do, etc...but if you dont have a way to get it cut/welded by either yourself or a shop then it would be pretty difficult. if you are sectioning the strut tubes to use shorter shock-inserts (for lower ride height) then you would want to read up on it.
