norstar
Maybe it's just me but the interior of the datsun seems to have a very unique smell. Edited February 8, 2016 by norstar

AkumaNoZeta
When I first got inside mine I was surprised. It actually had that new car smell to it, pretty nice for a 35 year old car. lol
norstar
Mine smells like weatherstrip adhesive, gas and vinyl... its "distinctive". You have some work to do then! I guess this post is for the guys with z's closer to their own age with a gap between ownership! Really hard to tell if it's your first car. I'm 10 years older then mine. norstar
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=p6q9nBusrq8 That smell? Yes... That would be That smell by lynard Skynard. I actually meet him while living in jacksonville in 86. Nice guy! Little rough around the edges though! Is that "the smell?" you are referring to peewee"? zeeboost
3 of my Zs had that distinctive smell which I've grown accustomed to. Then there's the '82 that reaked of gear oil (which dominates over any other stench, IMO) - changing the carpet out fixed that problem. The '83 was female owned, so it possessed an overwhelming perfume and (cherry?) air freshner scent, and with my latest buy, the '76, a couple of months ago when I ripped the interior out, I discovered why it smelled like a dead animal...skeleton/hairy remains of a rat stuck to the floorboard under the passenger seat. Now it smells fine, except when I turn the vent on - then a fog of cat piss hits me.
ckolander
My s130 smells like old car, that wonderful aroma of dust, gas, oil, exaust, and blood(my blood, from pulling my dash out)
