Tony D
That sucks, as someone once said 'he was knowledgable, but caustic' LOL I hope my distributor lasts for a while, with DPE gone, I got to go solid state if it goes away now...
katman
Proly been 9 years since I last saw him, and he wasn't the picture of health back then. He probably should have been dead 10 years ago but was just too stubborn I'm sure he's in hot rod heaven drinking a beer with Frank Leary and planning the next Giant Killer Z. RIP old buddy. johnc
Just to add to the Datsun Curmudgeon updates... Monty Holt is going in for yet another knee surgery (the 7th) but is still going strong and selling parts at http://www.bits-pieces.com/. Ed Johnson is still the cranky Z race mechanic working with a few of the vintage racing locals here in Southern California and helping Floyd Link from time to time. Floyd Link is still working on engines a bit, mostly his son Steve's 240Z and 510. I heard Bill Savage is still making crazy race things at SPD down in Vista. His shop has been reported clean and empty so he's looking for another customer with a hare brained idea. http://www.spdproducts.com/ Edited June 2, 2009 by johnc
