rturbo 930
We're looking at floors and frame rails, right? I can't imagine the floors will be a deal breaker. The frame rails will take quite a bit of work, but I believe you can buy new frame rails... not sure. But it can be done, without doing a tube chassis. You could also just use some square tubing. Looks like both damaged areas are forward of most anything important which I guess is "good" relatively speaking. Quite a few people on here have replaced their frame rails, if you want to look them up. I believe user 78LT1 did, might start off with looking at his build just to give you some ideas. Looks like you've really got your work cut out with you though.
Xnke
Floors are not the issue here, It's the front frame rails and the door jamb areas that are the problem. Couple that with the really ratty looking rust holes in the front frame area, plus all the other hidden rust that hasn't reared its ugly head yet, and I'd be just about afraid to take it on. But, it can be done, with enough time and effort. My car had WAYYY less rust than that and I'm still working on rust repair two years later. 240zBoy
If your talking about the rails under the floorboards then yea I actually just got mine today from msa. It was 300 after shipping and got them in 3 days. I just do not have the tools to make precision cuts like that and would definately have floorboards that I know will hold up lol. Plus I save about a week or two of hard work making them while I worked on other areas.
lumberjackj
Looks like the car was wrecked looking at that mangled up frame rail... a lot of crappy repairs and under prepped welds in my opinion... may be worth the parts on it, or worth it if your willing to replace the majority of the front end of the car. $$$$
240z!!!
well due to the lack of interests its hacked up in a million pieces..but i know its been in a wreck it has a 73 or later radiator core support because it has a hood seal metal holder and has the bolts underneath the core support for the tow hook looking thing that was only on 73 and later cars
johnc
That car is beyond a "rust repair" job. As mentioned its been wrecked and poorly repaired. Even though I could probably bill 8 to 10K to fix that car if a customer brought it in to me, I would do my very best to convince him to part it out and scrap the chassis.
