HowlerMonkey Posted August 7, 2009 Share Posted August 7, 2009 Since the maxima diesel comes with a LD28 with a FS5W71B tranny, it should serve you fine but with the same troubles that the maxima diesel guys see. jc052685 Posted August 9, 2009 Share Posted August 9, 2009 And exacly what kind of torque are you looking at? 'Cause I still say you wont be able to break a factory tranny. At least assuming you are truely not going to be trying to destroy it. 5th gear is the weakest on all of the trannys. As long as you keep boost moderate in 5th you will not have any problems.
