TH350 and a neutral safety switch

I have the JTR manual but the neutral safety backup switch they recommend is for the 700-R4. The shaft for the shift lever on the 700-R4 sticks out so the switch can be installed over it. The TH350 has no room for the 700-R4 switch. will the longer 700-R4 shaft fit the TH350?

JTR manual recomends a 1995-1998 S-10 truck or full size truck park-neutral switch and a bracket part #4L60-101 to bolt the switch to the 700R4. in addition to a longer shifter shaft GM#24201166. There may be a problem finding the electrical connector that plugs into the park-neutral switch but that can be overcome by soldering 10 guage wire to the large switch wires
