Derek Posted August 13, 2009 Share Posted August 13, 2009 Hi I'm building a custom center dash plate for my 73 240. I'd like to retrofit 2 small independent center vents for the A/C. I'm looking for something a little bit more modern than the 280 vents. I'm not even sure if they would fit or not. My total working area is 6 1/4" x 2 1/2". Obviously the width is the critical part as I don't want to hack up the dash pad. The height is not as important but I'd like to keep it in at least the 2" range. My Vintage Air unit pumps out a good amount of air but it's being restricted by the size of the existing vent. Now for the favor part. If you have a car that has vents in that size range could you let me know what car they are out of? That way I can try and locate them used.
