thrustnut
Bubbles of coolant? Check the radiator cap and see if you have oil slime on it. White smoke is coolant for the most part. I don't think that has anything to do with your timing. Some one with a later model Z might be more help, but I believe those dizzys are halls effect type and not much going on inside (moving parts wise). stravi757
well i popped off my valve cover and the oil looks fine(not milky) my coolant looks fine and the levels haven't gone down, i did a comp test and my numbers are good all across. so like i said earlier there was smoke coming from the turbo area. could the turbo seal have broke? because i cant think of where the oil would be burning. Oh and i was just wondering, is it possible to have my oil pressure sender on to tight that i would have been blocking oil from going into my turbo oil feed line? Phlebmaster
Did you check/adjust your timing without disconnecting your vac advance? I've done that. lol That can really mess with your adjustments. The smoke thing is just weird...was it doing this before you changed the timing? Never do a shotgun approach when trouble shooting. make one adjustment at a time no matter how tempting it is to change one more thing. I call it "one-more-thingitis" and it will totally scew you in the end.
