logan1
Well I want to make a custom spoiler for my 240Z and so I drew a few sketched. Please provide you opinion as to which spoiler you like best or is the car better off without a spoiler or suggest a new design. The spoiler will be made of fiber glass. I’ll first make a consumable mold out of Styrofoam and then glass over it. NO SPOILER SPOILER 1 SPOILER 2 SPOILER 3 SPOILER 4 SPOILER 5 SPOILER 6 SPOILER 7 SPOILER 8 SPOILER

Challenger
Um, your pictures are very vauge. There nothing more than a side profile. Obviously your car doesnt look like the pictures and probably never will... As for the pedestal style spoiler, how you going to glass that? 310z
In my opinion, allowing the wind to shape the spoiler will result in the sexest look. As the sexest cars in the world are done that way. It appears that you are building an extremly sexy looking car. I love the front air dam. Most people do not have a wind tunnel available but sometimes the knowledge is available. To my limited knowledge the only wind tunnel tested spoilers on a Z were the BRE spoliers and your #4 looks close. An authentic BRE is very thin at the top edge and when looking down on a car from above the spoiler, there is an arc from edge to edge. I think you can see what I am talking about in this picture. kiwi303
going by the nose and louver details on the car, did you superimpose your spoiler sketches on a Development sketch of the GRID 3D-CAD car?
Slideline-s30
3 or 6 i agree but there both very MSA BRE style
hoov100
number 8 and 9 would probably be the most useful, but 9 would impose some interesting support engineering if it where to hold any real amount of down force. So my opinion is 8. (assuming its adjustable)
