Ah well Ive seen them go for $50 several times.

Good one Derek. Not to discurage you from buying this from Derek, but if you are wanting to run a braided line or an AN fitting for your oil supply, I would go down to a local hydrolics supply company and get a fitting that is compatible with AN fittings. I know from experiance that little inverted flare in the block will keep you from using AN's.

Well - I DO want to run a braided line, but need someplace to tap off of. Thought this would be the solution, but perhaps not. I went on EBay and they had a kit with the braided line and sandwich plate, but the sandwich plate didn't fit the Nissan oil filter threads. He didn't have one that did either. Any suggestions? Was thinking about tapping off a line going to a remote oil filter, but was told I need a restrictor so as not to flood the turbo with oil. Corn-fused at this point...

Hey man, once again, I was in your shoes with this problem this summer :)

You should get on the AIM train so we can chat it up about the swap.

These part numbers aren't complete, but it'll give you a good starting point. TrumpetRhapsody and I are both running this and haven't had any issues whatsoever, and the stock oil sending unit on the 280Z thread right into the 1/8 NPT Fitting.

From my thread [shameless plug :)] http://forums.hybridz.org/showthread.php?t=153195

* Oil Feed Lines - You can use the stock L28ET lines and distro block - the "T-Fitting" [This is the easiest route] but I got stainless steel lines for my car. You will need a T-Fitting at the Oil sending unit to get oil for the Turbo. I used these parts from Pegasusautoracing.com [THANK YOU CHRIS a.k.a TRUMPET RHAPSODY for the part numbers!!]:

- A 1/8 NPT Female T-Fitting

http://www.pegasusautoracing.com/pro....asp?RecID=895

- A 1/8 NPT Male Fitting to 1/8 BSPT Male fitting to connect the T Fitting to the stock hole for the oil sender

http://www.pegasusautoracing.com/pro...s.asp?RecID=56

- A 1/8 NPT Male Fitting to 4AN Male fitting to connect the T Block to the 4AN SS lines.

http://www.pegasusautoracing.com/pro...p?Product=3208

- I got the 4AN stainless steel "44 inch Size 4 TFE Hose, Straight Swivel to 90 degree Swivel"

http://www.pegasusautoracing.com/pro....asp?Product=4

- 1/8 BSPT Male fitting to 4AN Male fitting. [The Banjo bolt is a 1/8 BSPT] This is to connect the 4An SS Line to the turbo, I used a restrictor plate and haven't tried this myself.

--------

A word of caution - in that thread there was some confusion whether or not the Banjo bolt is a 1/8 BSPT or not, definitely confirm that before ordering. I had a special restrictor piece that already had a 4AN fitting on it. I actually brought my extra S130 T3 down with me, I need to go confirm that the bolt is BSPT.

Also if you're having trouble finding gaskets for the T3 I include in that write-up where to get a full kit for $8

Hey man,

I thought you were talking about the oil feed spot off between the block and oil pressure sender. I now realized what you are talking about. If you want to run braided AN lines off that for an oil cooler, I used these banjo lines from this site http://www.unisteer.com/mm5/merchant.mvc?Screen=PROD&Store_Code=UNISTEER&Product_Code=8021570&Category_Code=

They are 18mm banjo fittings with -6AN fittings.

I hope this helps!

Thanks for all the replies guys. I bought a 36" braided setup off EBay for $22, has the line, and the adapter with a 4AN fitting that has the restrictor in it, as well as a 1/8" NPT quad junction, I should be able to pull right off the oil pressure sending unit hole and hook up the sending unit to the junction. Problem solved! Thanks again.
