Nickanicus
I received my car without having the center console actually installed. I know I'm missing some parts, but can anyone help me figure out what I actually need? I see that theres a couple bolts in front of the shifter hole where something should be bolted down. Also there are bolt holes on the console itself, that should correspond with a bracket of some sort. Also, I think there should be trim on both sides of the trans tunnel. Anyway, if anyone could post some pics or some info on what it is I'm looking for, that would be fantastic... Thanks! Here is what I'm working with:
rturbo 930
If I remember correctly, there is a bracket that bolts to the tranny tunnel, and theres two screw holes in the side of your center console where it would bolt to. If I am not mistaken, it appears yours is missing. You pretty much nailed it in your post. It's a pretty simple bracket. Flat piece with the ends bent up basically. Challenger
You can barely see the right bracket directly below the blue wire crimp on the right. As owen said, there is a bracket that screws onto them. Ill try to find a picture.

My console is a Series I. It bolts to the top of the transmission tunnel with one screw under the "ashtray" and to the brackets up front with two screws. The brackets that it bolts to are two vertical brackets on the side of the tunnel: not those others on top of the tunnel.
Kevin.pk
His car appears to be a 280z , judging by the dash so the bracket he is looking for is the following.... Its not in the greatest shape in this pic(rusty piece) but gives you an idea.
