Ok, today i picked up my very first z :o a '82 fairlady 2l it is my very first project car and i am very excited to get started as i have allways wanted a z. My plans are to add a front lip and remove all rubber bumpers add a big grill like those in the older z cars.

i was just wandering if anyone has ever removed and shaved the bumper to make it look like they were never there..

Any help is much appreciated..

Cheers

Look at z-cars.com they sell front and rear kits that basicly make it look more modern. Smooth fiberglass look that bolts to the exsisting bumper frame work.Congrats on the new project!!!!! Also check out the members project forum thread. Search 280zx and see what incredible things people have done with these cars. I spent 2 days looking at some of the projects. Very creative and talented people on this forum.

With all the stupid drivers where I live, I think that rdelats would offer slightly better protection, luvemfast's is sleek and beautiful, but if I get rear ended I want my dollars somewhat protected. To me it just looks like a piece of steel yubing thats been bent to line up with the bumper mounts, possibly welded on, and everything else smoothed out.

z-cars.com doesn't go anywhere - do you have another link?
