Mikez31ss
Ok it doesn't have to be from a 1978 Datsun 280z but that should work and it's a pretty damned descriptive title right? Any voltmeter that fits in the 240z dash in place of the ammeter will be fine. I'm replacing the stock 240z externally regulated alternator with an s130 alternator and I'm pretty sure I'm going to need a voltmeter rather than an ammeter. One could easily mistake your intentions Any voltmeter that fits in the 240z dash in place of the ammeter will be fine. '76 through '78 should fit your application. I hadn't thought about how vague the other ad sounded. I guess I just assumed everyone was psychic and would know what I needed and why. Ok 76-78 it is , thank you sir. dhp123166
Actually, I'm going to hold off on this sale because I am not sure about retrofitting a 280z voltmeter into a 240z. I had an experience on another site with a gentleman who bought a 280z quartz clock to retrofit into his 240z. It did not work without the stock 280z harness so I do not need another experience like that one. Best Of Luck.
