Administrators RTz Posted January 9, 2010 Administrators Share Posted January 9, 2010 (edited) 90 ohms=empty, 10 ohms=full. Datsun works backwards from most other senders. Edited January 9, 2010 by RTz
ModernS30
90 ohms=empty, 10 ohms=full. Datsun works backwards from most other senders. Get an auto meter programmable gauge for the cell. Will be more simple.
Zmanco
90 ohms=empty, 10 ohms=full. Datsun works backwards from most other senders. Ron, is the '73 sender the same?
Administrators RTz Posted January 9, 2010 Administrators Share Posted January 9, 2010 Ron, is the '73 sender the same? I've tested and researched the senders of quiet a few Datsun models. Every one, so far, has been in the same range listed above. There may be others that are different, but I haven't found one. I'll bet a buck every S30 and 510 falls in that range. Administrators RTz Posted January 9, 2010 Administrators Share Posted January 9, 2010 Don't know if this helps... I installed a VDO gauge in my 510. Of course it would have read backwards, so I flipped the sender upside down. Simple and works pretty good. I haven't tried this on an S30, but it should work. Just bend the arm to fine tune. Chemicalblue
I'm working on installing a AIM MXL Strada dash in my s130, would you happen to have any info on the 79 - 83 280zx sending units?
Administrators RTz Posted January 10, 2010 Administrators Share Posted January 10, 2010 (edited) Tommy, I found a couple forum sources that claim the 280zx is the same range, but opposite read. One member measured his as Full=83, Empty=11. Edited January 10, 2010 by RTz
