theguppies
a friend of mine has front and rear 240z strut towers/tubes that he is throwing away. i'm thinking about picking them up and put them in the 280z because i have tokico that fit in a 240z strut tube. will it fit and is it worth doing the conversion? RB26powered74zcar
That's a simple question. Yes, why not go ahead and use them, there are minor differences, other than tube da.
johnc
There differences in the length of the strut tubes: 240Z Strut Tubes Inside Length Front: 15.125" Rear: 16.750" 280Z Strut Tubes Inside Length Front: 14.750" Rear: 18" There are also difference in spring perch height but I don't have those numbers handy. turboHLS30
It works I put my old 240z suspension on my 280z the only proble is that the back is gonna sit lower than the front, that's because the rear 240z struts are shorter than 280z struts. yan929
If you are not going to use them, I'm looking for the rear passenger strut housing for a 240 and would gladly take that one. Yan

turboHLS30
Well my car has lowering springs that lowers the car 2in., so that technically means that my car is lowered about 3in. in the rear and 1in. in the front so it sits kinda wierd. turboHLS30
No problem. Can you post pics when you do it cause I won't to see if your car will sit like mine. Please
