Front right brake rotor wont go on staright

Recommended Posts

I recently did the toyota 4x4 VENTED conversion on my car. brakes feel awesome but my rotor isnt spinning perfectly straight and I cant figure out why.

I first noticed there was a problem when I was backing up with my wheels turned all the way to the left. I heard a noise coming from the front right wheel. I looked at it and I couldn't see anything wrong visually. So I took a closer look at the the rotor. When spinning the rotor, the gap between the caliper and rotor gets smaller at a certain point while be turned. so obviously something is off but I cant figure out what.

Things that have been changed are an added wheel spacer to fit the bigger calipers, The rotors ofcourse, and the wheel bearings. I took off the whole assembly and tried putting it back on with no succcess. Any ideas on how I can identify the problem?

Make sure the mounting surfaces from hub to rotor are clean, smooth, and flat. Also you might need to chamfer the inner bore of the rotor to fit over the fillet on the hub. Sometimes there can be interference from the fillet.

Ill take the rotor off the hub and see if there is anything between it because the wobble just seems to be at only one small point.

Alright so I took everything apart and Looked at it, and I cant see anything uneven between the hub and rotor. Is it possible that I bought a bad set of wheel bearings? Because when I was driving it today I noticed my car was randomly pulling to the right and then back left, when it used to only pull to the left.
