Kevlars30z
I had a sad discovery today when i found out that my passenger floor pan is rusted. It was there last year when i bought the car but it was just little specks. Also checked the driver side and its so much cleaner than the passenger but it has it growing in some spots. It doesnt look so bad in the pictures but there are two spots that have eaten through the floor. For now i put some anti-corosive coat. Now where can i buy Zed Findings floorpans does MSA sell them? thanks

Sparks280zt
Looks like surface rust to me? A wire wheel should clean that right up.
rturbo 930
Looks like surface rust to me? A wire wheel should clean that right up. Looks like it's pitted to me, and therefore needs to be replaced.
cockerstar
I'd peel up all of the sound deadening and get an idea if your floors really need replacing. It looks like you might be able to repair rather than cut everything out and start over, but then again, we can't see the whole story. Sparks280zt
The pics are tiny on my computer so I can't really tell. Have you removed the rest of the sound deadner?

chris stiles
Sorry not to thread jack but I feel I'm being over quoted. What's the average charge for replacing 2 floor pans with rails. I just got mine today.

Sparks280zt
Sorry not to thread jack but I feel I'm being over quoted. What's the average charge for replacing 2 floor pans with rails. I just got mine today. Depends on where you are, but $40/hour and up wouldn't be unheard of. Man, that search function is amazing: http://forums.hybridz.org/index.php?/topic/85799-how-much-to-weld-in-new-floor-pans-and-frame-rails/page__p__819159__hl__floor%20pans__fromsearch__1entry819159 Edited April 16, 2010 by Sparks280zt
