Guest Big Phil Posted December 11, 2001 Share Posted December 11, 2001 I used the taillights off of a 89 300ZX. Since a 300ZX is wider than a 280Z, I had to trim the middle section so it would fit properly. I think 240sx taillights would look great but they would bow out slightly. The rear of a 240sx is curved while the rear of a old Z car is virtually flat so they would not fit flush in a older Z car. Most modern taillights wrap around the rear or they have a curve to them. I spent months looking in junkyards trying to find lights that fit properly and the 300ZX units seem to be the best option. Phil Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

You could pick up a pair of those unit for 25 bucks at a local self serve junkyard. The center section is different and it says 300zx so you probably wouldn't use it.
