I've done this bumper swap on my 81 280zx but only the rear bumper haven't found a front bumper yet, its real simple, the shocks bolt pattern is the same all I did was unscrew em and came right off but since the 3 piece bumper has the side pieces and there's 2 plastic plugs holding the pieces on each side top and bottom, you take those off but you cannot use them on older models, I can't remember if the plugs were squared or rounded but when I went to put em on my car they did not fit I just zip tied mine for now see for yourself I got after and before to prove it can be done.
