260ruztmachine
I'm learning, little by little after reading for a few hours I start working on my car. rebuilt Carbs, headers (bought from hybridz!), cleaned out fuel lines & tank, etc. Doing little projects to get my car ready for the road.. Yesterday I ran a compression test, took off all the spark plugs and one by one each cylinder reached 180 179 182 20!!! 181 181 The fourth cylinder doesn't work? I got some advice, put a little bit of engine oil in the hole and ran another compression test on it. I was told if the test gave me anything over 100 it means most likely there are problems with the block (not sure what exactly) and if it didn't read anything or not much at all, it would have problems with the head. It read nothing at all... That means head work next week by a mechanic, with the high possibility of a modified cam from crower cams (dad used to work there, paying fifty dollars for it)
letitsnow
Check your valve lash on the dead cylinder.
jc052685
Also could be blown headgasket. Any odd sounds while cranking?
madkaw
Pull off the valve cover and look at #4 valves. Especially the where the rocker rides on top of the valve, it might have turned sideways with a sticky valve!

260ruztmachine
Thanks "letitsnow" and everyone else. the "ceja de la valvula" was the problem (valve lash) No more smoke coming out the car, 180 on all cylinders and starts right up. For the second time I blew a radiator when revving it, I'm gonna have it welded in Tijuana because I'm not buying anymore. The fan isn't stock that's why the first one scrapped the radiator and messed it up the second time I shaved it but I guess it still wasn't enough room. Looking for a stock 240-260 fan.
