jbehuniak
Has anybody spun or heard of anybody that spun a crank/ rod bearing? I think its a little crazy that an engine that is 30+ years old can handle 7000rpm. Did Nissan really built the L series engines that well? BluDestiny
When I got my 280zx it had 2 crushed bearings in the oil pan. the engine had 200,000 miles one it. I don't know exactly what the PO was doing.
SHO-Z
Spun Bearings = Lack OF Oil. Got may FJ40 Landcruiser stuck one time and spun a bearing due to the oil being at the wrong end of the pan from the oil pump. MY wife knocked the oilpan plug off of her K car years ago, another spun bearing. Edited September 28, 2010 by SHO-Z
