I have a UK spec '81 280zx which I'm hoping to lower, firstly what's the max you'd recommend lowering? Also is it just the lowered springs I need? All the previous classics I've had are either splines or leaf springs. Quick pics of my motor (haven't had time to take any good shots yet!) it's sitting on 15" wires at the moment but I'll be changing them as soon as I find some more, any recommended places to look out for wheels? fitment is a bit hard to come by over here in the UK :/ Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Brad-ManQ45 Posted November 4, 2010 Share Posted November 4, 2010 In a nutshell, when you lower the car with springs, you lose wheel travel and increase the spring rate to prevent bottoming out. The higher spring rate requires a stiffer shock to control the wheel movement, otherwise you "pogo". Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
