kevinz Posted December 12, 2010 Share Posted December 12, 2010 I have a stroker motor that I would like to put a turbo on. It's an N42 block bored to 89mm, v07 crank, 240z rods, Ka24E pistons(cast). I have two different heads that I can use. I have an N42 that is ported quite a bit. It has a .480 lift 274 duration cam. The other is a stock P90. With the N42 I would have about 11:1 compression. the P90 would have about 9.5:1 compression. What could I safely boost on this motor. Or should I get rid of it and put in a stock turbo motor and go from there. If I can use this motor safely, I will be using a haltech e6, msd 6al, and mallory unilite, so I should be able to tune it pretty well. What do you think? Any advice would be greatly appreciated. You could work the P90 to increase chamber size and/or use a thicker headgasket to lower your compression ratio into the eights. Ditch that cam and get something that works properly with turbos. An "A" spec stocker is a good place to start.
