m1noel
So, after some 32 years my mustache bar bushings were pretty much shot. I ordered new ones from Energy Suspension. Of course the old ones need to be "de-bonded" with heat. I don't own a torch-so what to do? I found that using the burner for our turkey frier works great! Only took about two minutes a side and they came right out. I performed this task in the frozen waste-land that is our back yard. After the stuff cooled I thought I picked it all up and threw it away. About 12 hours later one of our golden retrievers found a piece of the tar-like rubber goo and proceeded to roll in it. When she came in, my wife said she could smell burned rubber. Then we saw the dog. What a mess! Bathed her for over an hour and still haven't got it all out. But the mustache bar looks great. ezzzzzzz
Obviously, the dog couldn't find a neighbor's dog's turd or a dead rotting carcass to roll in. WTF is it with dogs and stuff that stinks to high heaven???
BLOZ UP
Dogs try to mask their scent by... rolling in things that smell. Cats mask their scent by keeping themselves clean. I found that soaking them in gasoline really helped burn mine out.
