emeraldlion
You need to buy the JTR swap manual. It gives you all the info you need to handle the easy stuff like this. Considering the overall cost of doing the swap the 40 bucks on the manual is dirt cheap considering how much it helps.

grumpyvette
if the lengths correct you can buy adapter /conversion u-joints http://www.mrdriveshaft.com/U-Joint%20Page.htm#Neapco%20Conversion%20U-Joints
GOTHALOSISM
Any one know the spice part number for the rear diff flange? I know I can get one from JTR but would prefer to get one locally.
Trevor
NEAPCO 2-2-899-1 for R200s thru 1978 (except 1975).
Dan Juday
If you're going to use a driveline shop to section/phase/balance the driveshaft they should have everything you need, the adapter too.
GOTHALOSISM
Thanks, I have the late 75 with the flange that is square like in the JTR website. I just got it today only to find out i need the DAT-110. I was going by the pics, since i did not have a tape measure (wife took it somewhere). JTR does not tell you that if you return an item to get you money back they charge you a 20% restocking fee. I'll see if the driveline place will do an even swap with me. Thanks! Dunlop
Well got it back and the place ended up doing it wrong. The measurement from output shaft to rear end was 23-9/16 tight. The machinist put it at 23-9/16 to the center of the u joint. However it did look really nice. will update

Danno74Z
Trevor mentioned, NEAPCO 2-2-899-1 for R200s thru 1978 (except 1975) as being the flange yoke we need to use and I believe this to be incorrect. Below are the spcecs. for that flange and they do not match the one I received from JTR. JTR uses a 1310 U-Joint and the 899 uses a 1210. Some of the dimension are similar but others are not compaired to the JTR flange. My take is that these are custom flanges from JTR because even if you research the Spicer 1310 series flange nothing matches the JTR. I don't want to steer anyone wrong. It was several years ago when I had mine made and my info may be out of date. I brought the shop (Drive-line Service of Concord, CA)my JTR adapter and they smiled and told me it was an off the shelf part (might have been at that time and now no longer). Sure enough, he went in the back and came back with an exact match. They also told me that they made drive shafts for Scarab back in the day, so maybe it was an of the shelf item for them only. Either way, just want to make sure I'm not causing more confusion while I'm trying to help.
Danno74Z
Trevor is correct NEAPCO 2-2-899-1 is flange to use on the Z and is the one JTR sells. The 1 after 899 is the key to getting the correct flange to match the 1310 u-joint and the other dimensions. Sorry.
