mldub2
I have a 75 280z turbo I am using a new 75 alt and a new battery and new voltage regulator. My car starts good and run ok right now as long as my battery is charged once i drive it for a little bit It runs like ****. Then back to charging it again. So I had it tested and they said it's good. What else can it be grounding straps maybe. Any help.
pallnet
Sir It sounds like you might have a bad draw on the electrical system. pallnet
NewZed
Are you sure that the wires to the alternator and regulator in the car are connected properly? Plus a good ground to the alternator case (check with ohm-meter)? And fusible links are all intact? The auto parts store testers are wrong occasionally. You should test with a volt-meter (not the dash gauge) at the battery, in the car, at idle and higher rpm. What is your Charge Light doing?
