deja
Remove everything you can. If you don't you will regret it after you paint. Trying to mask it well enough so you don't get paint on a part or leave unpainted areas is very tough. Plus masking take a long time to do well, you could probably remove the parts just as fast. JZ33
i painted my 280Z and the only things I took off were the headlights and buckets, but then again I wasnt going for show quality paint and Ive had a few years of masking experience so it wasnt hard for me.. for THE BEST results, take EVERYTHING off and apart.. if its just something to get you around then its just up to you how in depth you want to go... Austin240Z
Masking tape will not save parts from accidental contact with a sander. O_o
