  1. I second the concept of RB20 drop in. Stock trans mount for the win.
  2. I have an 83 swapped, and just used the stock plenum, one of Pat1's pans, a pair of the 2429 mounts, and wired it all up. Been driving ever since, and saving for mods.
  3. I wonder who all has a swapped RB20 here? Doesn't matter if it's DE or DET.
  4. Not much to it; if you look closely, there's a blank installed. Knock the blank out and after you've coaxed the dip stick out of its original place, install it where the blank was. Take the blank and knock it into the original dip stick hole and done.
  5. Yes, the RB20DE actually came after the RB20DET. Also the 20 did come in an AWD application in the R-32 GTS4.
  6. Phil you're just south of me. I'm in Lancaster.
  7. I know I'm bringing this back from the dead, but I don't wanna start a new thread. How many of you Texans still frequent this forum?
  8. I agree, the RB20 drops in almost effortlessly, and will be a totally different car in the end. Plus why go to a 4 cyl?
  9. Where'd you get that alternator tensioner?
  10. 1983 280zx (s130) w/ RB20DET still a work in progress but running daily.
  11. Did you ever find out how big of a rim that this setup would fit under? I'm stuck up here in Yankee land turning the lights back on but still want a set.
  12. What company did they work for? I work for Can-Fer Utilities. We'll be in Brewster sometime tomorrow.
  13. Tomorrow morning the Texas boys are coming to New York.
  14. Working 16 hour days, not getting back to motel room until 9-10 pm, and have to be back up at 5 am.
  15. Just got into West Virginia yesterday and expecting to work our way north in the next week. We can only do so much. Be patient with us, as in the crews helping get your lights back on.
