Get an old dodge with the 12 valve Cummins , gets better fuel milage and has tons more power than anything else listed.
-
There is one on ebay right now.
-
I rented it somewhat locally. They are kind of hard to find.
-
Just make sure you have a fan/ventilation. The dry ice sublimes straight to co2 gas. No need to sufficate....
-
You think the floor is junk? I heard good things about the replacement floors and they are better gauge than the stock sheet metal.
They are nice, but you can save $250 and do it with just some flat steel sourced locally.
-
Those floors are just bent sheet metal, do yourself a favor and save the money and go buy some steel.
-
Dry ice blasting can remove some very heavy rust as well, we use it sometimes to blast very large valves at oil terminals.
-
I rented one and it cost about $400 for the weekend for media and all, and yes it will remove rust.
-
Pull dash and sale for a cool $1000 profit!

Distributor to firewall.....Chevy

fhptom, you goin to DNI? If so I could tote that roll cage down for free.

240hoke knows of one in Raleigh NC, complete car $600.

any 5 speeds?
-
I assume you chose All Aboard because they were the cheapest. They were for me when I got quotes, but they have no reviews on transport review sites so I was leery. I spent $50 extra an went with a company with over 100 positive reviews.

QFT!
If you don't understand or believe this, watch videos (or bum a ride from a buddy) with a big turbo STi. The close ratio 6-speed trans results in you spooling half of the time your are accelerating and then you have to shift again. Too close makes you have to spool the turbo more.
Um, are you agreeing with me?

maybe on the back half, trying to launch one at anything but a redline dump, especially on u-joints... its not good. speaking from experience on this one..
with the new CV's we'll go to the track, 235/60/15 mickey drag radials, and leave at 6000rpm.
we'll either go fast, or explode a stub axle.
Do a search, every time guys have went to a shorter gear, there ET's have went down.

6 years later? I doubt it.

Started out as a 2008 Mustang convertible, hard to believe.

on this car? prob never, 3.36 rear gear, setup for long sweeping curves on track days.
i'll give it a go though, i expect it will do a low 12 or high 11 with some rediculous E/T.
now if we can sort out somthing this winter with that discussion we were having, i might give that a whirl just to see
3.36 is very good for a turbo car in the 1/4.

Strip/repair rust and repaint. Looks like a scuff and shoot paint job on it now. Note painted exhaust and antenna mast.
Yea paint looks like it is hiding something underneath it.
-
None, the car is sitting in some kid's parent's driveway in Fountain Valley rusting away. The last set of springs were 375F and 300R.
You sound bitter.

Plastic should be fine from Home Depot or Lowes.

2wd Dodge 1994-1998 with 12 valve Cummins will get over 20 mpg with a few mods and have tons of power more than the other little pick ups people mentioned. Most 4 cylinder pick ups do not get that great of fuel mileage and do not tow well.
Oh yea, it will last forever and sounds awesome.
