Hi my s30 peeps. Well I recenty bought an early 1974 260z, I love it. My dad and I want to restore it. I am buying all the misc items for the car. I bought Corbeau cr1 seats, Rota RB-r, Rear disc conversion, Front big brake kit, Tokio shocks and springs, steering wheel, Xenon front air dam, and more to come. I already restored my dash. All of these items listed are not installed yet. I want to put in car but my dad wants to restore first. He is helping me out with $2,000 dollars. I am buying the accesories and soon the rB25det. I am wondering where should I start restoring and how much does $2,000 get you in sandblasting, rust repair, and paint. If anyone knows any places in SoCal that can do a good restoration. My good friend let me barrow a Super Street Magazine about several years back. I was around 16 at the time and my main goal was the 2jz Toyota Supra and The s30 Z. I was searching for the 240z on craiglist and eBay, found decent ones but was eventually outbidded and no response from craigslist. Then about 4 weeks ago There was an add for an early 260z. I loved it. Paid $1,600 but it was worth every penny. I loved the fact that the early 260z has 240z bumper lights and 280z rear lights. The car ran, just had a radiator leak problem. I fixed it! Then I drove the beast L26. WOW! That thing was fast!! Without passing 5,000 rpm.

Yah, Im going to use the same bondo you used. The 3m bumper repair kit bondo. Well the paint im using SEM TRIM COAT AND TRIM BLACK. Really good product.

Hi. I am having a hard time remoivng th dash, If someone can really help me and giving steps and guidelines in removing the dashboard. Also, I was trying to remove the cap next to the dash with the 4 screws (cap closest to window) and I removed 3 and the last one stripped, I cannot remove it. If you guys can please help me in removing my dash and removing the stripped screw. I have an early 260z. Thank You Brian Z

Thank You, I did go see the modern motorsport kit with a brembo 11.4 inch rotor for 435 and all you need is the 240sx caliper, is that what you mean?? Or just get the bracket then rotors and calipers?? Thanks brianZ

hey i really like your dash work and in need of doing this myself. Ok. so the cracks you fill it with material??? (whats material or what kind of material? "i first cut off the extra material that made the cracks not flush with the rest of the dash" can you reexplain please.
