  1. I'll be in for a set of black for $250!
  2. Damn you Mike!!! I want a set of fender mirrors =[
  3. His link works fine, as I went to it, and it will really be helpful since I'll be throwing in a RB25 after Christmas. Good to know the wheels still may be here, also wondering, whats the widest rim that would be available?
  4. After Christmas I could buy a set of wheels. But not until then =/
  5. I'll let you know after Christmas, but the idea sounds good! Good to know betamotorsports is worth the money! Their prices were a little higher than I thought, but it seems you get what you pay for, and I don't mind paying for something that will be great! Thanks for the input guys!
  6. Just wondering where people, not sure if there are many, got their carbon fiber hood from. I know theres that random ebay seller, and then MSA sells them and I also found one from BetaMotorsports. They have a carbon fiber hood and hatch! Has anyone bought from them? I want a oem fit, no hood pins! I wonder if that hatch mounts up normally.... http://www.betamotorsports.com/products/index.html Looks like I may have to drill in the lock for the hatch, but otherwise has anyone used them before?
  7. Is there a way to test it to know that it's working? It seems like my dizzy may be holding the car back from firing up. I'm MS-n-SE'in the car and it has the dizzy light always on on the ecu. Thinking maybe something's wrong with the dizzy. Like I asked, is there a way to test it out? Or does anyone have one that they know is working for sale? Thanks
  8. What should the dwell be set at? Or where can I find out how I should set it up? Just a little lost.
  9. Well actually, in MS I see no change on the 'tach gauge'. The middle LED stays on ALL the time. No matter if I turn the dizzy or not.
  10. Does anyone know how to test the distributor to see if it's working correctly? Thinking maybe this may be the problem....
  11. Well I finally got the middle LED to come on when MS get's power, but thing is, it always stays on. During cranking it doesn't flicker, nor does it seem to dim. When trying to set the timing, it doesn't turn off at all. It just stays on ALL the time. I'll check for spark, didn't have an extra person to help me out tonight. Anything else someone could help shine the light on what to do?
  12. Well I just have to get my damn thing to spark and then I'll be running v3.0 with MS-n-SE, but I can't get the damn ecu to ground the coil =/ Or unground it what not. Either way, not getting any spark -.-
  13. Can you show me what you mean boostin? It looks like everything is soldered up. You have one wire going along the back from the LED to 36?
  14. I noticed that when I have power to the ecu it gets really hot also. Normal? I think I got it figured out, have to wait 'till tomorrow to find out though.
  15. Yea, sorry, got a little hasty when I posted. I have a v3.0 board and I'm running Extra021u3 extra code with MegaTune mt225b358_021u3_setup. Trying to get a spark from it and it's not happening. Can anyone chime in to help please?
  16. Trying to get a damn spark from her. Using pin #36 it doesn't seem to be grounding the coil to get it to spark. Anyone have any suggestion?
  17. Mine is in the protruding pipe on the 280zx stock j pipe. Welding teacher put it there for me, rather than having to cover the hole anyways.
  18. sims76 - I don't even get a sputter when cranking the engine. This is to see if anyone can tell me if I wired incorrectly, which I may well have done. I wired the Ignition wire PIN # 24 to the dizzy White wire. I wired the PIN #36 wire to the negative side of the coil. Deleted the FIdle wire because I'm not usuing a FIdle solenoid. I can add back to this wire if it's needed. I simply cut it short. Fuel Pump wire has been deleted as I'm using a toggle for the fuel pump. I get readings from the temp sensors, so I know they're wired up correctly. TPS is wired correctly as I get a reading from it also. Thanks for the help guys! sims76 - I'll try your troubleshooting method when it gets a bit cooler. It stinks living in Houston and only being able to work on the car from 5-7 in the afternoon, being it's too hot to do it at any other time.
  19. Alright, I'm running a V3.0 board with the Extra021u3 code and the mt225b358_021u3_setup MegaTune setup. Installed the firmware with success and turned on the ecu and plugged it up. Appears fine in MT as I can see the temp sensors working and the MAP showing about the right number. Now I know I need to have the dizzy trigger MS somehow. Moby says to do this by putting the engine on TDC and then moving BTDC about 50-60 degrees. Now since I'm using an 82 Turbo Dizzy on a stock N42 engine with turbo exhaust manifold, T3 and jpipe, I had to change the oilshaft as well. Now I have it on what I believe would be the #1 setting for TDC. I got it to line up with the rotor to be right at the #1 plug on TDC. The only thing I can think of is that I have it off by one notch, either early or late. Entered all the data from Moby's sticky to try and get her running. She cranks but won't run. I know fuel is getting there as I can smell fuel from the downpipe. Only thing I can think of is that I'm not getting spark, or not getting it at the right time. I've tried the rotating of the dizzy to get the middle LED on the MS unit to come on with it powered on but it doesn't light up. Could I simply have the oilshaft off one notch and this would cause the LED to not light up? Also, how close would the trigger angle have to be in order to get the car to run? Exact? Or can it be off a few degrees? Please help, everything's wired, just waiting to get her to turn over!!!
  20. Tony, The only yellow lead from the DB37 is the one for the Coolant Temp. Do you mean the dark green lead that goes to the relay for the FIdle, should go to the HEI terminal marked 'G'? Or would that be the maroon lead that says to Ignition Module/Coil? I'm still trying to figure out how MS will be able to pick up the Tach Signal...
  21. Just trying to find where the Main Relay and the relay for the FIdle are. I found the FI relay which is right by the hood pull. Trying to plan everything tonight and get the MS wired up tomorrow! Thanks for the help! Also would anyone be able to tell me which wires on the dizzy I hook up? 82 turbo dizzy to MS V 3.0 Thanks again guys! I know Moby has a schematic for wiring it through the relay board but I don't have this, and I was just wondering if anyone would be able to help, thanks again guys!!!
  22. Very different. I like it. Great job on the body work who ever did it!
  23. Yea, I found that schem off the site today too lol. I'm looking at that one and the one that I recieved, it looks like I might be able to use my harness now, just add in those 2 wires possibly? The one for the dizzy which would be pin 7 I believe and then the one for the ignition which would be pin 30. Does anyone else see why this would or could not work? I'll be getting MS back from Mario soon so I'd like to be able to maybe get the car wired up before it gets back! Thanks for the help guys!
  24. Alrighty, so I'm finally starting to do the wiring up for MS. I got the MS I v.3 and the harness. So I'm putting in the 82 ZXT dizzy and I was wondering. Do I still need the wires that were on the normal dizzy? I have a '76 280Z. Also looking at Moby's sticky, I have to go through the relay board. But if I didn't get one, it would go just to the dizzy correct? Or am I just being the stupid teenage idiot and thinking its another part that I should have gotten, but it's actually in there already? I'm just a bit confused, because on the schematic that DIY sent me, it doesn't say what wire on the harness should go to the dizzy.. Now I would think I'd be able to get rid of the other wiring correct? Since it would no longer be in use?
