  3. Hi Fella's. I just bought a 74 260Z for a SBC engine swap. The L6 engine has an E88 cylinder head on it. It also has some type of cam shaft in it as well as a set of Weber carbs. Does anyone have info on the E88 head? Thanks, John D.
  4. I would think the factory rollers would work, But you should check with someone more familiar with later engines. One other possibility is that you bent a valve. This would cause the valve to stick in an open position with excessive valve lash being one of the symptoms. Compare the height of the retainer to its neighbor when they both should be in a closed position. they should be very close in installed height. John D.
  5. I don't see how you could possibly crush a lifter. I would expect you have a bent pushrod or possibly a pulled rocker stud if you dont have screw in studs. If it is a roller cam, the lifter may have turned in the bore, and wiped out the cam lobe.
  6. Hi fella's, I just purchased a 260Z with the intention of installing a SBC. I have been reading thru the forums and can't seem to find the info I need. What I need to know is this: other than the buick GN, what did the 200-4R come in? Is it the same as a 4L60E? Thanks for the help. This is really a great site. John D.
