  1. Well cruz im not literate myself. All i did was just to 1. Right click on your picture you want 2. Click on "properties" 3. Highlight the URL ex:(http://www.imagestation.com/picture/sraida/p8e05d6bf10a92670fa14df2fe976a858/fdd7f2cc.jpg) 4.Put the URL you higlighted goes in between the img commands. 5. make sure to take off * (thats there so youll see the command.) thats to put an image on your signature. if you want an image posted just do 1-3 but then click on the "instant UBB code" 'image' then you can post images quicker. Like i said im not good at it either. I'm sure someone else here can explain it better than i can
  2. Muddy Trade! Take out the * and space
  3. This may sound like a bad choice but since your not looking at performance and you want fuel mileage, try diesel. They had diesel maximas, no reason why they wont fit in a Z car. Only problem i see is where your going to get a diesel maxima donor.
  4. I'd recommend the electric vacuum pump. I used the canister on an 88 Monte Carlo SS and there were times i got stuck in stop and go traffic and there wasnt enough reserves to step on it a few seconds later . The electric pump solved my problems, but it does cost a lot more. I think its this one, im not sure though http://www.jegs.com/cgi-bin/ncommerce3/ProductDisplay?prrfnbr=24728&prmenbr=76 http://www.jegs.com/cgi-bin/ncommerce3/ProductDisplay?prrfnbr=7761&prmenbr=76
  5. yep, conquest and starion are sister cars. But i dont know if they have the same style seats.
  6. Did anyone here see the blue 280ZX with Centerlines and a 350 Chevy with an Edelbrock aircleaner on My Classic Car? It was only on for a few seconds but at least they showed it.
  7. Breathe my son, breathe! Do this Good energy in Bad energy out now its "pahty" time
  8. Nice! Better to go bling bling than kabloom boom! Dont scrimp on safety and it looks good anyway!
  9. Hi, You can use a tow dolly and put the front wheels on the ground towing it backwards. I did this with a 280ZX from L.A. to Dallas. Or if you want to tow bar it just disconnect the drive shaft instead of putting the strain on the tranny and you can resell the tranny for some beer money. good luck
  10. You might want to also check out how the fiero people do it. After all if you want RWD V-8 and want to mount the engine at the rear the fiero V-8 conversion people would know how. Try this link good luck http://www.v8archie.com/
  11. I'm not bashing big industry here Tim I just want them to start doing their part of cleaning the air instead of making it look good on paper. I could do the same thing to my car by getting a sticker for the legal one, removing and sticking it on another car that never passed and just get another sticker for the legal one. The point was our cars are cleaner now than they were ten years ago. The average age of a car here in Dallas anyway is 6-7 years old. The air is getting cleaner not because of TESTING but because of technology. The bigger companies are not doing their fare share. They buy credits which would be cheaper than upgrading emmissions they put out. The sources that are contributing to pollution now in the DFW area are 3 airports and a power plant in the south that blows pollution north to us every summer. And as far everything we buy costing more, buy less. I lived overseas before where they had draconian rules and we never rolled over. And guess what? They tried to stick it to us by making the consumer pay for it, but we managed to get around it and they later realized they were losing money and suprise the price went down. I totally agree with you about Federal and local regulations boggling the mind I just dont want them boggling my wallet.
  12. It looks like we are going to have a new emissions testing program again effective MAY 1. You know, its the same one that got kicked out by Bush and the company sued the state and got $270 some odd million dollars. Like Bush said before if only 10% of the population is in non attainment why are you bothering the rest of the 90%? At least we still have the rolling 25 yr. old deal, where if you have a vehicle 25 years old you need only to get a safety inspection 2-24 gets the nasty newer cars dont need it (obviously). But this time we have a choice..., You can bring it to ANY inspection station..at least for the two inspection stations that can afford the $40,000 equiptment upgrade. Im pretty sure that there are only a handfull right now that have it including car dealers. So if you have an inspection coming up, do a little civic disobedience. (besides im pretty sure there wont be a lot of stations equipped with the new dyno yet) If your in the 2-24 category and get your car inspected because fee is going to go up. They can charge you up to $39 which is almost double in most cases. 96 and above gets plugged in to an obd II computer to check if it is within parameters, 95 and below get the dreaded dynamometer with some punk ass off the street moron with a screw driver in his back pocket waiting to tear your upholstery. Dont get me wrong i want clean air but TESTING has never cleaned it. If you really want clean air stop giving pollution credits to big industry and stop screwing the little guy. Sorry to rant! Here is a link for some more detailed info http://www.txdps.state.tx.us/vi/publications/brochures/Overview_copy.htm www.airchecktexas.com.
  13. Why? You really dont need em' the computer will let you know if something is astray. But if you insist on putting one then go with a hi-flo universal cat. Good luck.
  14. Hi, One thing, dont ever use cork gaskets they always leak. Try buying rubber replacement gaskets or if youre really desperate do what i did. I got some blue RTV silicone sealer, put a nice bead around the valve cover wait for it to skin then just put it back on the heads without tightening the nuts. Wait 24 hrs then tighten to whatever specs you have.
  15. Hey Long Rod, What settings would you suggest for a 69 Chevy Pickup with a small block 400 with a Holley contender intake? The truck isnt hot rodded, its just for daily driving. I have one of the Avengers on the way to my friend. Thanks Sumo
  16. I have used the plastic polish that you can buy from autozone. I used it to repair a buffer burn and it turned out pretty good. Its usually listed as a bottle of plexiglass/plastic polish/ cleaner.
  17. In TX... well in the Dallas and Tarrant County anyway Any vehicle 2-24 years old is required to be checked for safety and emissions. Brand new cars dont need emissions and any cars 25 years old and older dont need the emissions part but you are still required to go through the states extortion.... i mean safety inspection. I have a 75 280 Z and im not even worried about it. Although I think the oldest block you can get should be as old as your car. e.g. 75 280 - 75 block no 74 and below. Hope it helps.
  18. I had a friend with a similar problem, it just turned out to be a burnt rotor, it was brand new too and you two even have the same msd equiptment. So check rotor and the cap, even the distributor. Hopefully it helps. But you might want to do what mike said and check to see if your gas hasnt seeped down and contaminated the oil yet. good luck
  19. i have a 78 Trans Am from California and they only came with an Olds 403 185 h.p. smog choked power. But on the other hand it does really well on its own unless newer technology v8 passes me by. But then again i have 200,000 miles on the original engine and its just starting to smoke a little. I just hope to restify it one day.
  20. The front spoiler looks like a modified 90-96 300ZX veilside kit. The car looks a little heavy w/ the side and rear skirts but the wings gotta go.
  21. I got one pic of your car from those Canadian Truck Drivers did you ever receive it from me?
  22. Nice to see your still at it, you still in Irving or have the cops harrassed you enough for peeing in public
