  1. It's been bugging me for a while, but does anybody remember this show? In the opening credits it shows this guy getting captured from his apartment. he gets taken to this place where everyone is referred to by numbers, and they're always shooting everyone with syringes. He trys to escape, and he gets chased by these huge balls... i saw a few episodes when i was little, and man that show was weird... anybody remember what it was called? i think it may be called the prisoner, but i'm not sure.

  3. well, nissan themselves put a VET into a car... http://www.nissan-global.com/GCC/Japan/NEWS/20001019_0e.html maybe it'll make tuning hard, i don't know...but it's possible btw. you'll need a VET exhaust manifold. http://www.sr20forum.com/showthread.php?t=120965 the s14 s15 greddy style intakes will work on the vvl engines I bought my engine before i found out a lot of this stuff. i'm just extremely optimisitic. from research, it all seems to work out though.
  4. I did tig for the first time today. i love it. you really feel in control. The first half of the sysmester the teacher had me doing oxyacetylene, which is cool too. Yesterday he had me doing vertical down lap joints with the oxyacetylene...tough.
  5. you should just use the det internals. the vvl pistons are really high compression. the only difference in cranks, from what i've heard... is between the 1.6 and the 2.0. so what you need is a vvl head, and a det shortblock.
  6. VVL... it's nissans version of vtec...read up on the stickies over there. all else equal, a vet should outperform a det

  8. oops, i didn't factor in the 280z stub axles and companion flanges in, or the front mount...i'll make it, so thats pretty cheap... i got my diff & axles for way cheap, probably spent about 200 for them. i spent 60 bucks on my boots, Also i'm using mas280's adapter, and going to get the cheaper A Zcar moustache bar. and if you think about it, the brace isn't really a part of the diff swap, as it holds the control arms... but, you're right, it is a lot more than 1000.
  9. I'm going to run the q45 vlsd, in total, expect to spend about 1000 for the swap if you get Arizona zcars billet parts.

  12. i talked to my welding teacher today, and he's going to call a salesman he's known for 20 years...I told him i already found the dynasty 200 dx for about 2500 [cyberweld] so i'm hopin i can get an awesome deal on it. i don't think thats a lot of money for such a welder...it should pay for itself many times over. thanks
  13. I've got some scholarship money left over, from my governer's scholar awards... I had the bright idea to try to buy a Tig welder. i've got about 1200, but i don't mind going a fair bit over that. Now, i was thinking of the miller synchrowave 200, or econotig. Anyone have any thought's, comment's, or suggestions?
  14. Why? I got accepted to the Art Institute . I'm going to study Industrial Design. One of my goals is to design the next Z, or next next Z, and actually make it look somewhat like an s30. Now I have 9 months to finish the Z......i hope i can git 'r' done. Thanks for the help so far guys!

I too saw the trailer before vendetta [superheckaawesome] i'll probably netflix it, even though i find myself disgusted with the dialogue, and the cars for that matter...i just hope to god that the next f&f movie [if there is one] doesn't have an s30 in it...i can just imagine the noob questions we'd have.....[cringes]
  16. i loosened them with a breaker bar with them on the car. it made it a lot easier.

  19. My q45 diff has what i think is a VSS on it, i'm gonna go to Picknpull to verify it unless is can find something online. I need to go there anyways, to get some 280z comp flanges and axle stubs...[that's gonna be fun...] here's a pic, it has a gear on the inside that looks like a trigger wheel.
