just reading the email it sounds like they're selling just the tubes
but it would be pretty awesome if they sold complete units
-
about damn time.
ask them what are they doing for upper mounts/camber adjustment
i think the price would still come into azc coils price range
-
does anyone have any info on whether the subaru power steering rack will allow for more steering angle vs. the stock z manual steering rack?
-
i started to do this on my z like 2 years ago.
now my car is a track car.
just something to think about
the plastic is a couple of pounds(if that) anyways..
-
you will be much more satisfied with coilovers.
even if they a softer rate and not dampening adjustable
the improvement is worth it
especially if you get pillowbal upper mounts.
i've done cut springs.
then aftermarket springs and shocks.
then coilovers.
and i wish i just first did coilovers.
cut springs cause more problems then they solve
-
get 16x8's and the compressor and call it a day
then save for coilovers
one and done

hmmm, opening up the center hole isn't an issue for me, the machine shops are a dime a dozen around here and wont charge much to open them up to the appropriate size, and new lug nuts arent to hard to come by lol. Im getting these for a steal so its worth it still.
to paulo: or I can run spacers and not have to bore out the center hole? what size spacer, like 7mm or larger?
i think the rear you can run a smaller spacer but the front has the huge honkin spindle/bearing.
i would just machine them out
have some picss of rears only tho
interference
looks installed

These are AE86 Megan Racing "bolt in" coilovers...
i would like to see a company take those 2 middle coilovers and make 2 more....
put on s30 camber plates or simple cnc'd upper hats(non camber adjustable)
bam. s30 coilovers. they would still weld in though
have a basic coilover system and a more racing oriented system
if i had the resources to produce this i would
but i dont..
someone should. hint hint.
i would also like to see more
-seat adapter variety for the s30 chassis.
-complete turbo upgrade packages would be cool.(l28)
-bolt on bracing throughout chassis(might be worthless but its a cool idea)
-a cool body kit would be cool. i know the original lip + spoiler + flairs is amazing but it would be col to see something new
-CLUTCH LSD's
-
they fit but you need to open up the center hole on the wheels a little. or run spacers
and i dont think the ae86 lug nuts will work
-
this happened to me.
but it was because i filled it up too much
i opened the fill screw and let some oil drain out
cleaned it up and bolted everything back up and it was fine.
but your situation seems different
-
quick question..
do you use the 240sx tb bolts to bolt it up to the mani?
-
any vids yet ?
-
So i bought a box of Z efi parts because im piecing stuff together for my ms swap

project choice: s13 vs s30 2+2
in S30 Series - 240z, 260z, 280z

in my opinion s13 is the best option here.
however if you trying to drift a z i would consider the steering angle, brake, and suspension options.
suspension gets expensive rather quickly on these cars.
i don't know about other hybridzer's but my ebrake barely works at all kinda, hard to adjust angle with no ebrake
the steering angle on the z car is very shallow
the chassis is also pretty lose
but unless your trying to be competitive or learn to drift
a z will be a good/fun project
the added wheelbase will definately help
definitely a change from all the s13's
