i dont think putting modern tech into an old car especially an mgb would be worth the money.

yea, i figure everyone is doing a chevy v8 swap so why not do a chevy strait 6? almost no mods have to be done to it and plus it still keeps its charecter.

because its a strait six, i DONT MIND V8'S and i figure i should have to fab anything but the mounts and exhause and maybe the trans tunnel.

i have been pondering the idea of a chevy strait 6 would this be able to work in a 81 zx? i know that a new tranny will certainly have to be used. ebay!!

same here, but i used the holes where the mirror adjustment switches went.

alright, i was looking for a dohc version, wich i could only find on a turbo, but then i found this and checked with the local junkyards and found one for $500 with tranny uncut harness...etc..etc with only 80k miles, i even had them start is and drove it around the yard once! (it had a major side inpact near the rear end though)

i was wondering about turning a vg30det into a vg30de. i was considering this as a possible swap in my 280zx, i didnt want to go turbo, so i was thinking of turning a vg30det into a vg30de, i was wondering how many fitment issues there would be if i didnt use a turbo?
