    i was looking at speeders one piece fibergalss front end and was wonder if it is possibly to do that to a 280zx using the stock panels, i know custom mounts/hinges will have to be made, but just integrate the fenders/headlight buckets/hood, all into one moving piece that you could possibly just use some hood pins and pull the entire front body off the car. this is just a concept in my head.... i was thinking something like this

    got the car running smooth and holy sh!t does the exhaust sound orgasmic stock, anyone have the cam tower torque specs for a N47 head?

    i could always just get away with octane booster, as for the 105 gas, my freind uses it for his race car and gets a discount when he buys it. anyone now of a good octane booster?

    i have all the euipment, but even with premium (93) i still get detonation with the timing set right.

    how safe is it to try and smog my 81 zx N/A with an 10.7 C/R and 105 gas?

    i drove a 77 280z 2+2 from southern california to texas without any problems, car wasnt "new" either, had 270k miles, dash was torn up, but luckily the radio worked.

    to answer the wuestion, i use a n47 converted to externally oiled, raises your C/R alot, but ultimately is cheaper and easier to find then some of these othe heads.

    atleast it wasnt the oil pump squirting oil on the side of the block.

    for my RBZX swap im sticking with R33 gauges, and just install aftermarket gauges to replace the tri-gauge cluster.

    there is atleast one 2000 valve cover there, there where a few with just the "nissan" on them, all of them had just a bull and some japanese writing on them, except for the 2000 cover, there wasnt one on it. i think i might go over there tomorow and snag them all.

    so after all the things i have read, its ok to block off the coolant bypass line? and i could pull off all that coolant equipment that goes to the TB?

    it apears to me that all he did was change the cam towers and added the spray bar....could i run both if i put stiffer springs in the oil pump to raise preasure?

    i was poking around the cam today on my zx and noticed there is a spray bar for the cam, i was wondering how the hell could i miss this, but it apears the last owner rebuilt the head and changed the cam towers for a spray bar, so no internally oiled cam, its all external, could this be a potential problem?
