  1. seing the old riverside raceway brings back memories..
  2. looking at installing a 22/18 gal. fuel cell in my z32 and was wondering if anyone has some pics of it installed.
  3. i would ditch PS, toss in a 240 rack and relocate the steering shaft and you should be good, if you have to notch the fram for clearance of the oil filter, just get the filter relocation kit.
  4. the thing is, its in a 78 280z, N/A exhaust, N/A intake, p90 head, turbo valve cover, havnt looked at the oil pan yet though.
  5. but didnt all l28 motors after 81 have that?
  6. i know they are different, but how can you tell the difference without tearing it apart?
  7. that kit was forsale on ebay a while back, i think some z board regular bought it, but yea, if i can get a pic of the engine bay from a fairlady, then we could prety much tell if he's real or not.
  8. yep, looking at the parts he has pics of, they are all internet store pics, its just a converted s30..its a scam..... this is one of the pics he posted http://pg.photos.yahoo.com/ph/heffernancurtis/detail?.dir=ab94scd&.dnm=c0b6scd.jpg&.src=ph this is a pic from arizonazcar.com http://arizonazcar.com/brakes.html
  9. well, he did cover up the holes where the original data plate would go on a LHS s30.
  10. the JY also tought me, that long travel suspension is possible on an s130
  11. looks more like a conversion, then an actuall fairlady, also, if he has over $25k to blow on a restoration, why doesnt he give us better pic's?
  12. 135 mph in my auto z32 N/A as fast as i wanted to take it.
  13. my father ahd an 86 hardbody 2wd that had the vg30e in it, i would imagine that a vg30et would fit good aswell.
  14. the DE will fit with just some custom mounting/wiring, but i if you wanted to go with DET, then you have to modify the hell outa the steering system, your gonna have some clearance issues with the hood, but you can cut away a small portion of the crossmember so it fits snugly, its not easy, but a cool swap that not very many people try.
  15. sounds like either a sticking thermo, or your engine got lean.
  16. if i was just gonna gut and solidify them, i might as well, just sell them and make my own intake plenum. (i did keep the 240 shell, if anybody wants to buy it $600 and its yours)
  17. you live in 29 palms? i live in palm desert, but i try and go up to yucca every once in a while, any z car clubs up there?
  18. what i bought the z32 to become my daily driver, maybe even a turbo swap, but im propably going to keep it auto, i love stick, but auto is just easier for a daily driver, dont wanna get knee problems at 16. ill post pics tonight,
  19. i said screw it on the turbo w/tripples idea, so i sold the motor with all forged internals, the race ported e88 with custom ground isky cam, n42 valves, and the rebuilt carbs, got $4k cash, so i went down to a local used car dealership and bought an N/A 95 300zx.
  20. i dont know what computerized system your talking about, the 240z only has wiring for the accesories and only a few non-replated componets, if this where a new EFI turbo car and you wanted to switch to carbs, that would be a wast of time, but already having a carbed motor, then gooing to turbos, the only thing i would worry about is ignition.
  21. i think it would get to hot, maybe a CF block with aluminum sleeves.
  22. i have a HUGE box full of assorted jets from when my freind stopped racing, the only bad thing is, keeping them in sync is going to be a pain.
  23. no need for a choke here, temps are almost always above 60 here.
