Hope someone can help, been strugling with this for awhile. I recently reassembled my rear stub axles in the strut housing (with the spacer that came out of it and new bearings), installed the companion flange and tighted the locking nut. I did an inital assembly and everything went together fairly well, but I found that by grabing the rear brake disk (AZC five lug conversion) there was very slight axial play, I would guess about 1-2 thousands. I tried to tighten the nut further and did so up to 250 ft lbs but this made no improvement. I have verified that the play is in the stub axle / wheel bearings and not in the suspension or shock to strut inerface. And I am seeing this on both rears not just one. Any thoughts or experience on this is appreciated. My car is a 1975 280Z. Thanks -Colin

OK, to close this one out. I bought a set of 16x7 +40 rims with 225/50R16 tires and I am very happy with the fit. I think anything from +30 to +40 would fit nice with the AZC 5 lug conversion. Just need to figure out how to post a picture now.... Thanks for the help

Having some trouble figuring out the water inlet plumbing for the cooling system. I'm looking at a swivel inlet neck for the engine from Jegs, but at $120 I'm hoping for a better / cheaper answer. The problem is the engine coolant inlet and the radiator outlet (bottom port) are not aligned and routing a hose between the two looks difficult or impossible without a pre-bent hose. Wondering what others have done for this - pictures would be great. Thanks

anyone else have actual rim / tires sizes used with the AZ 5 lug conversion? I measured today on my car and found I have about 2.875 from hub mounting face to the inner fender lip for clearance. I also looked up the section width for the tire that I want (225/50R16) which is 9.2 inches. So based on my math ((9.2/2)-2.875) = 1.7 inches of offset = 43mm of offset. This seems like way too much based on others experiences. The thing I did not factor was the negative camber gain as the suspension travels which would tip the tire in on top and buy some more clearance, which would allow a little less offset - but how much less (that would be hard to calculate)? For anyone else with this conversion, what size and offset rim did you use? Thanks

The Black Dragon hatch seals do not work, they are too tight and will cause your hatch to bulge if you can even get it shut. Any other ideas on alternatives???

I have coilovers and the fenders are rolled. looking for a 16 inch rim, just not sure about offset. I can and will measure but would be nice to see what others have done and what works from experience

Well, two years later I have the AZ five lug conversion kit installed (my car is still not running, but soon...) Anyone else have experience with what size rim works well with this kit? Any thoughts or experience would be helpful. Thanks

I bought the R/T mount from technoversions and while it looks great the isolator that it comes with does not sit flat on the top of the nose of the diff???? Any one have a picture of one installed? The mount was pretty cheap and really looks like a quality part, just hope it works now.

I want to use a -6 hose to plumb between my engine and regulator (at rear of car) but there is no way that I can route a hose around , over the mustache bar and then above the sway bar. So I have been thinking about using a hardline to route in these areas. I can then bend it to conform tightly to the bottom of the car and maintain clearance to the mustache and sway bars. Any one else go this route? if not what did you to to route the fuel line to the engine near the rear of the car? pictures welcome.

anyone have any pictures of a ground up brake line install? Looking for ideas on how you routed the lines, clipped them and if you used bulkheads to pass through the inner fender. I have a few from some race Zs that may help the group out, but would still like to see others solutions.

Thanks for the compliments guys, its been a looooong process to get this far but to finally see it like this really changes my perspective. I don't know the paint code off hand but need to get it, and when I do I can post it. The plans for the car are, in a nut shell, LS1 and and T56, coilovers, rear fill fake fuel cell (aluminum tank), pretty stripped interior, disk conversions. I have and have test fit most of the parts already so I just need to do brake and fuel lines and build a chassis harness. But with work it still might be awhile until I can drive it. yea i'm a little concerned about it but I don't think it will be a problem. Worst case is i will need to fill it slowly

Here are some pictures of what I got going with a remote fill. It is a 10 gal tank from summit, I cut out the spare tire well and added a closeout plate. A fill tube extends from the back of the tank to the rear of the car. I also made a cover for the tube so I dont get any gas vapor in the car

call me crazy but isn't a 205 tire a little narrow for a 8.25 rim? Most cars are running like a 225 with a 7 inch rim, so I would think you would run at least a 245 with a 8.25. That said your tires do not look too stretched to me and your car looks awesome with those rims. So just curious why you went with 205's?
