  1. how is it going. the wheels on your car look great. Just to be sure could you please tell me exactly what wheel size it was so i know exactly to expect. Am I correct to assume that they are 17x8.5,+4 all the way around? what tire size did you settle with, and do you have any recent pics of the wheels on the car? The pic im really looking for is a pic from the back of the car looking down the side showing wheel and tire clearence with the fender and quarterpanel. THANKS SO MUCH for your help. I look foward to hearing back from you. ...........Brad

Brad, I hope you found the answers to your questions. If not, let me know I'll try to answer.

  2. I got a smaller battery and put it next to it.
  3. True. I think i'll take your advice and wrap it.. What size tires are you running in back? I think a 255 should fit back they easy.
  4. How hot does the exhaust pipe and muffler get back there? It looks like the tank is okay up to 250*. The tires are only 225-40-17. I bought them used just to be able to move the car around. Going to put 255 on it when I start driving it. It still a work in progress..
  5. What kind of rear view picture? Do you mean with the car on the ground? I have my shop in a million pieces right now. I'm painting the floor. It's going to be next week before I can clear all the crap out of the way to take one for you..
  6. Got my exhaust system made and installed over the weekend. Had it done in Raleigh N.C at RJ's custom piping. It came out awesome. It's 2 1/2" mandrel bent system with X pipe and Borla's on both sides. Can't wait to drive this thing. Sounds great!!
  7. I used a smaller battery and put in next to it. I did not want to run longer wires and have 60 wires running thru the firewall...
  8. Got a response from Ross about it. He told me it was okay and nothing was wrong. It would not hurt anything to have that gap then there. So I have installed them and moved the car in and out of the garage a couple of times with no problems..
  9. I am starting to work on my axle assemblys. I ordered my axles for MM. Are they suposed to be able to ride back and forth on the shaft? I would not think they should. Did I get a set of axles that were machined wrong? If you have done this swap to your car please tell me this is normal. Picture of what I see below..
  10. The fuel tank is from a 2000 Trans-Am. The lines run into a Corvette fuel filter/regulator..
  11. Well After looking for to long for GM fuel lines I desided to buy the kit to make my own. Aybody else want/need lines made for there project? Here is a picture of my install..
  12. I am using Cobra Mustang rotors up front. They mount between the wheel and hub. If there is a problem you could use a small spacer to give the cap a little room.
  13. I don't remember them hitting anything when you turn the wheel. I have cobra brakes in front so it's like using a 3/8 spacer. There is still a lot of room in back for bigger tires. I am using coilovers front and rear. I am still working on getting my LS1 installed so I can start driving her...
  14. Is the problem the front? I have installed Cobra mustang rotors on mine. And they fit on the outside of the hubs.
  15. Here they are with 225/45/17. I wanted to do 245 but got a great deal on them... And with no motor in the car it does not matter much. I am sure 245 will clear front and back. Looks awesome to me..
  16. Sorry guys or taking soooo long to do this. With the bathroom scale they are 19lb. Pictures don't show how great this wheels look....:D:D
  17. Sorry I've been out of town all week. Went to the Kid Rock concert at the Ryman in Nashville. I took about a week to get mine. I live in N.C. And they had to order them. I would call Urbinimport there number is (919)544-2876. They were very nice and know there Rota wheels...
  18. The wheel does look a little close to the fender. When I start my body work I will roll the fender lip in and also pull the fender out some . I have camber plates that can move the top of the wheel closer to the center of the car. That is one reason I am thinking about running a 245-40-17. It is a short tire. Around the same as stock.
  19. It's a +4 offset. They are not going to need spacers with coilovers. Not sure about the front yet. I have custom made Cobra brakes up front and it makes the wheels sit out a little more. I will try and put them on a scale this weekend. Just guessing on the weight I would say they are around 15#.
  20. I am thinking White or Blue. Not set on tire size yet. Maybe 245-40-17
  21. Here is a couple of pictures of my new Gold RB-R in size 17x8.5
  22. Is the guy in the Red bird Z car? If so I think his best time was in the 1:43/1:44 range. Tommy Archer was there driving a 650 Hp viper and ran a 1:28. I was up there helping my friend out. He was driving the wagon..
