  1. i just used a 200sx cable needed a lil mod but works
  2. looks like all they did was take an rb26dett manifold and drill new holes. I was gonna do the same thing with my t4 manifold for the rb30 im buiding since i am using an rb25 head modded. I found a sweet kit for the ic piping and the inlet piping but it's too dang expensive(250 us) so i'll just make my own piping it's faster and cheaper But i have a better idea now how i need to make it
  3. lol all i did was basicaly what kiwi said i cut the two flanges and spun them 90 degrees so they mate up with the rb20/25 head. I will keep an eye out for some smaller ones if they dont spool good but i think they will be fine. if you want i can get some close up pics
  4. yea i think they will spool ok, if not i will put them on my rb25.
  5. ok i got them mounted up on the spare head i have for the rb30 build just gotta get them surfaced and start making the ic tubing and the inlet tubing. I just cut the flanges that didnt match up and spun em then rewelded them, they fit great now
  6. thanks philip but i got the one from ckelly i shoulda followed this up but i forgot
  7. thanks i looked and looked i tried searching under ur name but its different on there
  8. i searched i couldnt find it on there, i hate search engines on forums seems they never work for me
  9. im definately interested i have a buddy that does cf, hes gonna make me some molds to pull cf and fiberglass head light buckets. I'll search nico now and see what i can find.
  10. looks good man, i love your intake that is soo killer. I got an rb20 in my sonoma and i am looking for a manifold that will work with what i have, do you still have the old ugly one? If not are u interested in making another cf one and if so how much? I am planning on running a ms2 on my rb20 i'm gonna mod the cas like i did with the haltech to keep the cas and make it simple to hook it up.
  11. thanks, and the speedo worked for a whole 10 miles or so lol it was making a funny noise when i went down the road and the needle wasnt smooth it was jerky.... well that lasted until i went to town and now it doesnt work at all but i can still hear the noise. Im gonna pull it out today and see whats going on.
  12. ok guys got the gauge over lays put on andthe speedo hooked up here are some pics they look sweet in the dark the pics dont do it justice, there is more blue in the lights than it shows. but i love the way it looks now
  13. someone has to keep things interesting well i got her to idle properly finally i had to adjust the tps it was a bit off so the ecu thought the throttle was open farther than it was. I had it close before but it would change all the time, it would be 1k sometimes then 2k another and even sometimes reaching 3k. I got the a/f gauge hooked up too it's nice to see that she's running where she is suppose to. I know it's no substitute for a wide band but it does let me know that the engine is going into closed loop when cruising which means good gas mileage I got my speedo cable but i am waiting for the new gauge over lays to come in before i take it all apart again, might as well do it all in one shot. I am gonna try and put the set of rb26 twin turbos on the truck since i have maxxed out the stock turbo already(not hard). Might start on the turbo swap this weekend if not it will be next weekend. I am gonna get a new clutch for it too the stocker is not gonna hold much longer lol
  14. hmmmm what about just drilling and tapping the head on the cyls that don't line up? It would still have enough surface to seal just have to use a thread sealer just incase you drill into the water jacket? I just looked at mine and ur right one side is different than the other , when i was mocking them up i didn't see that one side was different than the other. I noticed it with the rb25 head i had but for some crazy reason thought the rb20 is different.... my bad but i still wanna do it hey ripsnz have you ever got to see how the rb20 handles the rb26 twins? Figured i would just use them since i have them but if they wont do what i want i'll prolly sell em.
  15. thanks for the link it looks like it's a tight fit but should work just fine on my truck. I wonder how well it performed?
  16. hey guys i have two sets of rb26 turbos and manifolds i got them from a buddy that had a gtr. I was talking with jitter and it looks like the manifolds will fit right on. I searched and searched this and multiple other sites and coulndt find anyone with one or one that has used the stock rb26 turbos. What do you guys think? the response shouldnt be too bad and as jitter stated the turbos should be more than enough for the rb20.
  17. ok a pic for jitter and a short vid of the gauges working Laid out..... and the vid
  18. ok another update guys, she is running great and i hope to get some outside vids very soon like maybe tonight. Also i got the fuel level gauge to work, i had to pull the pump and sending unit out measured the resistance at the pump, full it's 256 ohms and empty it's 40 or so well on the skyline's gauge cluster it reads from 6 ohms full to 80 ohms empty. So first i took the level arm off and took a pair of pliers and bent the tab that hooks into the sending unit it's self 180 degrees so it would invert the level signal for the skyline cluster. Next was to get the ohm reading down to where the cluster could read it accurately. I paralleled up some resisters i had lying around until i got the empty ohm load to 82 ohms then it was on to the full ohm reading. The full is detirmined by a little black resistor on the board in line of the wire going back to the gauge. It's value was.... u guessed it 40 ohms so being that i didn't have a 6 ohm resistor and it's so close to a dead short i just opted to bridge over the resistor with a small line of wire and solder. This put me up to 0 ohms give or take but it got me where i was looking to be so now the gas gauge works!!!!! now all i got to do is just get my speedo cable(should be here soon) on and all the gauges will be working.... well except for the front TQ gauge which maybe i can turn into something else like voltage or something.
  19. sounds like a plan to me and i got a present for you power steering for the truck was not a good idea lol so im leaving it off if you want the tank i have u can have it. Its still good i didn't mess it up i just kept blowing off lines and got tired of wiping up the mess lol i'm just gonna get a manual rack for it and call it good.
  20. yea everything works good, gonna have to figure out the fuel gauge and get a speedo cable. It's nice to have a tach!! lol its definately doing over 70mph in second gear, i checked it yesterday on the way home coming out of caseville. I used wax and grease remover on it, had to rub pretty hard but it came off. What did you want for the gauges? Dan said u wouldnt take any money for them.
  21. well got the cluster put in(thanks jitter) here it is oh yea and i got the right maf on it now idles like a dream.
  22. as it states guys i need the cable for my sonoma if anyone knows another that will work let me know
  23. lol ohhhh ok hey did u find that cluster? my buddy is down there this weekend and can pick it up if u found it. Give me a call when u got time
