  3. jitter you mean the guy that had the other pistons? i talked with him and he got rid of them already.
  4. sounds like a deal to me, i only need one maybe two but i'll take the whole lot and use the best ones. I am working on another head as we speak so i can keep the rb25 together and when im dun i'll swap it into my sonoma
  5. I am building the rb30 but i want to be able to run the 25 while i am building the 30 just incase i dont get it dun in time. I could definately use those pistons, what are you asking for them mack?
  6. im not sure careless, something to look into tho. Sounds like a deal tho if the rb30 pistons work then i have 6 im sure they wont work but ifthey did i'd be a happy camper. I am looking at a rb25 head right now hope to get one so i dont have to tear one engine apart to build the other. I would like to take my time on the rb30det and just run the br25 until i get the other done. When i was pullin plugs they were all the same in color.......BLACK!! lol i guess it was runnin a bit rich I am getting a wideband for this year too.
  7. well i finally got the urge to see what piston/s took the damage i had been noticing out the tail pipe. The number 5 piston was at about 90psi and the rest were at 130 or so. The ones that were "good" were all pretty much the same there was about a psi or two difference but nothing like the 90psi on number five. Honestly i was expecting it to be either one or six, i'm sure the problem was with the haltech but it is fixed now . I just need to find some used pistons now to make the rb25 block good again.

  9. that is what i was thinking dunno why some ppl think it's stupid, specially since u have to either pay big bucks for an electric fuel pressure gage or mount a manual gage someplace outside the car that looks crappy. I was plannin a vent window motor out of an excursion to make it lift and drop, i figure it is more than strong enough and only opens so far each way so i dont need to make a stopper for either direction. oh well cant convince everyone

  11. here are some pics of the pod i built a while ago but i am going to get her out and start on it again. I am going to use a excursion rear window vent motor to make it go up and down with the key. I want to be able to still open the door so the flip up door will have a ball type mount for the arm from the motor. I have to make the yz kit work with inspection doors again but that shouldnt be to hard
  12. ok i talked with the guys at work and they told me if i bring the headlight buckets in that they would make a mold for me and add the 2" extra i need into it so i can mold the headlights into the 280yz flare. I plan to bring it in on monday but i'll get alot of pics and if the mold is good enuf maybe i'll make a few extra for anyone plannin the front 280yz fenders on a street car like me.
  13. here are a few pics of my start, i plan to move the head lights out and make a fiberglass filler. I am going to try and use the msa kit again so im gonna be cutting it up but it should look very nice. i'll get more pics thru the progress and keep the post updated
  14. yep had it for a while i ran it on the l28 and now its running the rb. There are very few ppl running them on rb engines specially here so its sad to say but i prolly know the most about the e6k with an rb here. I dont know much about the e11 but i am sure it's pretty much the same thing just newer with more options. I tried iming u a bunch of times....... you never reply

  17. i believe the e6 is just a fuel computer, i have an e6k and i love it. I paid 800 for mine a few years back but they have gone down in price. a fuel only computer is only worth a few hundred id only pay about 600 for a full e6k and e6x's usually go for about 7-800.
  18. I have a haltech and i love it on my rb25, but i had to mod somethings to work right with my e6k since it was a bit old. I had it running my l28 so i just opted to keep it and use it on the rb which is now working like a charm. I wouldnt go piggy back system either standalone of any kind is much much better imo
  19. gremlins those sly lil buggers did it get wet lately? i had a problem with one of my sensors having a bit of condinsation in it and it got on the wheel kinda covering some of the windows making it run like crap. I took it apart and found the water, dried it out and ran like a top

  21. k if mine was still stock i'd let you borrow it but mine is modified for my haltech so i dont think it will work with the stock ecu. I'll call him tonight and see if i can grab it in the mean time let me know if u get one.
  22. my idea was a gauge pod that pops up out of the inspection door on the drivers side with my fuel pressure gauge in it. I didn't draw it i just made it, it's almost finished i'll get pics tonight and post em.
