  1. You mean -8 on the feed and -6 on the return?

Or are you using a surge tank?

Yes on the feed (low pressure side) .I run 2 pumps so i have -8 from the pick up of the main tank into the walboro 255 pump then into the swirl pot, -8 from the swirl pot to the bosch 044 pump....then -6 to the fuel rail. The return is also -6 which tee's into the return from the swirl pot back to the main tank.

  2. Everydody who poo-pooed turbos because 'they have non-linear power output' without 'low end power' really got taken aback when they went for a ride in the old Shark Car.

It's all how you set it up. Turbos don't have to come 'on boost' at 4000+ rpms. And if the do come on early, there's no reason they need to be 'out of breath' by 6000 either.

It's all old wive's tales perpetuated on the internet by people 'reading' a far bit more than they are actually 'doing'!

    Amen!

  3. I was thinking about this the other day...none of the wires in the cable from the megasquirt to the relay board are shielded....injector drive wires mixed with the pip and saw can't be good.

  4. I run a Walbro 255 from the main tank via -8an to a swirl pot and a bosch 044 pump to feed the high pressure side. I run the return from the fuel rail back to a T fitting with the return from the swirl pot and back into the main tank...works a treat.

  5. I bought a pipe kit from ebay....the alloy pipes came in various lengths and bends . The hoses were poor though and burst above 10psi. Still the pipe was worth the money, I just bought some samco hoses and better clamps at a later date.

  6. Not sure if mine is the same but it looks just like and it was very cheap. It works great! only problem I had was coolant overheating when I had the IC flat against the RAD support, I pulled the bottom of the IC out to allow air under and up through the rad and not had a problem since.

  7. I was just thinking along these lines...do you need to change the injectors to use LPG? I guess you would need to remap the fuel table to match the LPG calorific (is that the right word?) and octane value. I would imagine controlling the gas pressure for a high powered engine is the problem.

  8. The bracket on the compressor housing will have to be cut off it you plan on using it on your datsun as you need to spin the housing round to get the outlet in the right place. I made a bracket bolted to the inlet manifold to hold the wastegate actuator.

  9. I have had problems with an electric fan mounted too close to the VR (crank) sensor. Caused all sorts of input trigger errors, causing the engine to miss. Moved it away from the sensor, problem fixed.

    Pete

    Yep, me too!

  10. Yeah sure here is the 8psi sheet. I'm running EDIS and timing is around 20deg at 300hp...I watched the torque and moved the timing up and down to get the best figure....I did see my knocksense light start to flicker at one point...there was no sound of knock but goes to show it can still be there.
