  1. Thanks for your help. Sorry im not too familiar with 280zx's its what i was told by previous owner. The engine is a P90a/f54 going into a 240z. Anyone have any idea where i could purchase one of these? Could this item be specific only to the Microtech ECU? as i also haven't seen other Australian 280zx's with them
  2. Hi from Melbourne Australia. Wondering if anyone can tell me what this item is. Its a little square box screwed directly to the sheetmetal just in front of the coil and behind the fresh air duct. It has a plug that looks almost identical to the TPS plug on my efi intake with 3 wires. I recently unplugged it and one of the pins snapped off as it was corroded, so i need to replace it with another or something similar. Is it some kind of ignition module? My car is going yet, so i cannot test to see. The engine is a L28et from a us spec 1984 280zxt with microtech Lt10s. Any help would be appreciated. http://imageshack.us/photo/my-images/20/92gf.jpg/ http://imageshack.us/photo/my-images/856/du7f.jpg/
  3. No i didnt cut the floor at all. Mounted to all original floor mounts. Only the seat rail is modded. Im 5'9 and sits fine for me, its actually a little lower than a stock 240z seat just the backrest is larger and taller. Would be good to mount it to the floor, but one problem i can think off is the handbrake positioning might hit your hip aswell as the trans tunnel being abit wider as you go lower.
  4. Thanks for the help. Im in Australia and know some people who can do the job. So are they the bolt on ('add-on) flares or cut off the actual replacement fenders/guards off a 911? How much wider are these flares than stock lip or ZG's?. Sorry for all the questions. Thanks
  5. Don't think mine had the hump nor does my friends 71. If they did it doesnt pose a problem for how we mounted it. Most guys just use a peice of wood and a sledge hammer to flatten the hump as seen in a friends 260z with s2000 seats. No pics as its as easy as i explained. Just a peice of flat steel strip bolted to the sliders (once all tabs/brackets have been cut drilled out) and then holes drilled into the flat steel strip that correspond to the floor holes. My edge of the seat bottom (thigh area) sits about 1/2 inch from tunnel.
  6. What year porsche are those flares off and where did you buy them? Looks very much like the Rocky Auto rb26 zed.
  7. Any progress on this? Im looking to get one of these kits too
  8. The star road Z is a 350z color. Daytona blue i think its called.
  9. I dont have any pics on my PC but there are several pics on his Facebook page. https://www.facebook.com/Topstage?ref=ts&fref=ts They are a perfect fit.
  10. Topstage here in Melbourne Australia make carbon ZG flares aswell as airdams spoilers etc. They make some of the best carbon products that you will find..certainly the best in Australia and can deliver to USA should be cheaper than RHD japan www.topstage.com
  11. Forgot to mention mine are 2004 model seats but i believe 2003-2008 are the same..well in Australia at least. Also if using stock seatbelts you will need to modify stock seatbelt buckle by slotting out the hole to accomodate the rx8 bolt which mounts the buckle to the seat.
  12. Hi guys sorry for the delay..only just stumbled back on this thread..seems i didnt have notifications set. Anyway here are some pics. Sorry about the quality/angles etc its what i already had on my phone. They are fitted into a 1973 240z. I believe i was the 1st in Australia to get it done and have since given the idea to a friend who has also fitted them to his 1971 240z with no problems with minimal effort..no swapping rails or anything just grind/cut off all the factory rx8 mounting tabs so that you are left with just the flat sliders and then bolt 2x 1" wide 5 mm thick flat steel bars to the factory rx8 sliders then drill holes in the steel bars to line up with floor and bolt down. As simple as that.

    Side Pipes

Hi i thought id revive this thread as the pictures in this thread don't work for me. So Wondering if the 50" summit racing side pipes is the right length for the s30. My 240z rocker/sill length is 61 inch. And not sure if i should get the 50 inch or 60 inch and trim abit off the bend and tip if needbe. Is the length measurement on their kits of the actual heatshield itself or the entire system from bend to tip(exit). Thanks.
  14. I have done the swap and my friend has now also done it aswell Never heard of anyone else with the same seats..we are from Melbourne Australia and believe we are the only people who have done it so far. Very easy swap. Just grind/drill off all the tabs and brackets and your left with flat sliders much like univeral recaro seats etc. Then all you do is bolt flat steel to the sliders and then make some holes in the flat steel for the floor mounts. I discovered this after looking at the rx8 seats in a friends garage and figured they would work after some measurements. They are a tight squeeze but sit the same height as standard 240z seat. Will post pic tomorrrow. As for seat motors. 3 wires. One constant 12v, ACC, Ground.
