  1. I paid about $4K for mine which was in pretty pristine condition the only bad parts are weather/stripping and pannel between the hood that hold wipers that had a rust spot climbing out. Other then that solid floor pans and rockers. Oh yeah and the slightlly ripped driver seat...but crack free dash all original 1975 280Z.

  2. Isnt Decatur in Michigan? Anyhow if you are close by toward the Chicago IL area, there is a place called "Soko International". They have alot of red tops S13 SR20's and some black top S14. Cheap, last time when i was there sourcing some parts for my car, you can pick one up for about $1500 with a tranny, ecu full loop and etc. S14 usually run a bit higher well over $2k. On the other hand if you want a clean SR20 motor then contact Karim screen name here on forum "Racer98" he can get you a cherry motor just like he got me my RB26 and you wont be dissapointed at all.

As far as buying a build up motor right from scratch could be a risky. There is a shop close by my area that has a bunch of SR20's in stock that they could use for a build up, cost wise is around 7-8K depending on what u want out of it, that was atleast their quote for me on fully build motor with a T-78 turbo.

My sugestion to you is probably geting a clean SR20 motor w/e it is S13, S14 or S15 and moding it as you go along.

  3. Depending on what you want out of the car i guess. If its a pure drag car, then it should with stand that kind of heat if you run alchol injection. Even if you do run something like that exposive thru the turbos, they might need rebuildong after a few pulls like that.

  4. I dont know if this what you want to do, but the UK and AU versions of the S30 Z have their turnsignals mounted under the actual bumper, which looks really neat and very visible. But where to get those turn signals with the original braket, might be hard. Unless some of the Australian guys could get you some.

Personally i love the 240z turnsignals and allready have a brand spanking new set that i paid some $$$ for it that will go in with a 240z air dam with ducks on to 280z.

    Just my .02 cents

  5. I pretty sure if you were to mount it that way, there probably wont be nesessary to strap it, but for sefety puposes you would have to do it.

I am no expert at this but when i will be mounting my cell i will do everything possible to keep it in place securely.

  6. Uh, yeah its a bit uncommon. I wish i could help you on mounting part, but i dont know if you maybe want to make a support on each angle of the cell instead of all around. If the bolts are short as you mention, there no good anyway if you going to be making a support around the flange, then just replace them with longer ones and strap it in.

  7. A bit of confusion here guys. Jersey was refering to e-bay motors in general so any kind of car/vehicle. E-bay switched all the car/vehicle auctions into so called private listing, which isnt really private because it dosent say thatm and you will be able to see feedback as a normal user after he/she left it. Its just for so privacy purposes that during the listing none of the bidders names will show.

  8. Nice write up and lots of photo with converting the RB26 to RWD sump. Most of the photos that cant be found of work in progress in detail.

Thanks to Mike Rowel for the great write and documentation of the swap/conversion.

Thanks to Stony for posting it!!!

  9. Uh intresting so thay basiclly took one of there cores and ad diffrent end tanks too fit. I have hear of them but never actually had tought about using there cores. Probably ending up buying one of the Megan racing i/c just to save some $$$. What are the dimensions of youre i/c if you dont mind me asking? Looks very unique in the G-nose.

    Thanks Bob!

  10. Well technically speaking no, becuase TEIN dont make coilover specificlly for S30 chassis. But you got a couple of choices, 1st one call TEIN and get a quote on custom order of which ever line you want flex, tc, dc w/e which one you want and they will make them for you. Price is about $3k-5k depending on what you want. 2nd choice is buying one of there coilovers and just cut, weld, and fabricate to fit those suckers on "this has been done before" 3rd choice is just call Dave at AZC and buy his coilovers that are just as good as TEIN.
