  1. So as i was browsing e-bay checking out the Z-Series classfield and stumbled on this 78 Fairlady that looked like a 79 280zx. It was a 2+2 and the cool thing about it i know the guy that is selling it, he is like 5 min away from my house. If anyone is intrested it would be a good buy depending on how much he want for it. Its not in the best condition ever but there isnt that much rust as i could tell.

I never find anything in my state but a bunch of crap and when you dont need it, what you know its allways there. Never the right time for me but maybe for someone eles.

    Here is the link http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&ih=004&sspagename=STRK%3AMEWA%3AIT&viewitem=&item=140045911551&rd=1,1

  2. I like the idea, but the thing with z31 mounts for the 240/260/280z S30 crown wouldnt be ideal. Originally Stony posted that Z31 mounts would work but they would put the motor a bit forward which isnt all that great in S30 since you got all this plumbing, radiator and 2 intakes with MAF sensors that are on it. But any how to fab out these mounts regardless of the quality you looking at 150-200 at minimum. Where most of the places sell them for like $350 and up, but they are proven quality mounts. So i guess its a good try but you have to get enought people to actually do it and then test it on of the cars. I just dont know if there is a sucess in this one. Dont want to be negative about this but just expressing my opinion.

  3. I have this race saved somewhere on comp but i saw it last night again for the 10th time thinking maybee this time they will get 8 car lenght vs nos and then see what happends. But any how thats old news for me.

What about putting a sr20det and topping it out with 500hp in a Z? Since all you guys think about is big blocks V8 maybe there is a chance with 4cyl.

Just my tought, i wana see something fast on Pinks like that 240sx powered by Chevy! or 2jz powered Z do a 9 sec pass on pinks something in that nature.

  4. Oh yeah!

I am defenatlly allready running in into getting parts for the RB26 but Shay at nismoparts is pretty good to deal with and could get always special order parts that you will have to wait for about 6 weeks!!!

Maybe Matt "cheftrd" from Japan could source out some parts. I would probably assume that anyone on this forum from Japan could get parts for RB motors. But no mater what you will have to pay the buck to get it.

I feel the pain and wait!

  5. There are some great fairladys for sale

It dosent matter where you will be importing this car to. In US here we have a law about importing grey market car, it has to be atleast 25 year old to be approved by customs to releast it in to youre possesion. In Canada they have a 15 year law on bringing gray market cars. So Canada is more felxible on registration.

As for pricing from terra2imports.ca i think there a bit over priced but there is allways premium on these type of car being imported here and specially FairladyZ and KGC10 Hakosukas. There is a bunch of other imports that might do it cheaper by allitle bit. As for bringing the car to Canada and then to US it dosent make a diffrence if the car is 25 years or older.

  6. Welcome!

WoW Youre car is awesome!!! Another of my inspiration in building the badass RB26 Z car. Great write up of the build up and nice photo shots. I like how the motor sits in the engine bay, what kind of mounts did you guys use?

Stay in forum i might have some questions for you down the road as probably other too.

    Great Job!

    Mike

  7. I am going to try this one, since i am in same postition in finding a intercooler for my self. Is this core for RB25 or 26? I have found a couple that will work with an aftermarket intake plenum. Arizona Z car makes a pretty decent one and they sell a radiator to go with it, the end tanks are on top of the core but not modified to fit. Another one that i have found is basiclly similar one to the AZC one, its called Megan racing intercooler. Which should work also, but same thing about the end tanks they need to be modified. Price is about $400 for either one.

I am allmost thinking of getting it custom made but i cant really find anyone to make one that will have 240/260/280z on hand to test fit it.
