  1. Nice car, can i give you like 100 bucks for it. The other guy on ebay is a bit step with his car though. I mean he even said in the listing that "It still looks good in pictures but your not going to win any car shows with it. Everything need alittle something." If i were to buy something like this for 20K i would expect it to be fast and win shows with it. But a good laugh never hurt no body....
  2. Oh yeah i defenatlly agree with you on that. Nothing is cheap when it comes down to the RB26 in specially. But i mean as far as dealing with people at RB Mototring that deal with RB's on daily basis they charge alot of money for parts that flow around the net for far less expensive what they offer them for. No negative feedback for the RB Motoring just simplly if you got the $$$$ go ahead with Rb motoring because there simply the best at what they do and what they offer under one roof.
  3. This guy responded pretty quick. Here is some of the clearafication on it. The head is R33 and block about 5 years old.The block was purchased new from Nissan.Hence no serial inscription. T-88 + $1000 (7000kms) Manifold/wastgate + $1000 (7000KMs) SARD 1000cc Injectors + $900 (7000KMs) OS Giken 6speed sequential transmission + $3000 OS Giken triple plate clutch + $1100 So i guess when you add all this up on top of the engine which is $7K add another $7K and that will make it $14 with everything. I dont know if could really use the AWD tranny here in the states. But if not than you guys could subtract $4100 out of that pacage. which will be like $10K. If its a fully build N1 block for $10K is not a bad deal, but i would really wana here youre input on this.
  4. I would probably say depending on conditon of it and also how much of the oridinal parts it has, and if it a LHD or RHD car depending on that also. Seems to me that some of the LHD Z worth more in Japan then the usual RHD car.
  5. I was looking around on ebay and this what i found. A guys from Japan is selling very rare almost new RB26DETT Twin turbo Apexi factory build engine. I asked the guys some questions he said that T88 setup would be another 1k on top of the 7k for the motor dont know about the tranny but everything eles like the ecu and full loom is incuded. Check it out... http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/NISSAN-RB26DETT-SKYLINE-GTR-ENGINE-APEXIBUILD_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQcategoryZ33615QQihZ010QQitemZ200030847943QQrdZ1 Oh yeah i aslo dont know if its a an R32 or and R33 block seems to me that its probably an R32. Let me know what you guys think.
  6. Yeah RB motoring is sure a great thing but very expensive, they rape you from top to bottom on there motors. Not that i am saying there bad but just alittle more expensive on what most of us would probably want to spend.
  7. NICE!!! I like these light from xenondepot alot. I mean there sort of pricey, considering that just the HID kit is like $400 and then you got a get lens and the projector with the housing. Hey Joey how much did everything run ya? Maybe il go a do some junk yard shopping...lols
  8. Ok! I guess say you can, but the problem is is that most likelly just that stroker kit and all the nessary hardware will be about 10K and then add everything eles up like the Fuel Management, injectors, custom build plenum and etc. And were talking about youre supra right? The mysterious 2JZ motor that is has alot more potential to with stand big HP numbers. There is shop on my land here that would be "Land of Illinois" its called www.sound-performance.com check it out when you got time. These guys have build 2 supras SP-01 and SP-02 the SP-01 is there race car and was a street car. I think it runs about 8's or so and has about 1200 hp to the wheels check out there vids. But any how that motor alone is probably worth about 50-60 grand but thats proven to put down 8s and still cruze back home from the track with full interior and dvd/cd in youre car. When the Titan supra is all stripped inside out for light weight chassis and made only for track use. Oh BTW that SP-01 is alos automatic so no burning of the clutch in traffic. LOL:)
  9. Yeah i defenatlly agree with you on that. Well here is the diffrence between 2 motors. The 1JZ is 2.5 liter, the 2JZ is 3.0. The 1JZ has weaker internals when compared to the 2JZ. ANd 1JZ is single turbo that never really apeared in supra and wasnt an USDM motor. On the other hand 2JZ is a twin turbo motor that only came in a Supra. Sort of like the RB25 VS RB26 in that case. But both motors have good potential in it considering that they have a bulletproff bottom end which can handel alot of power. Oh yeah BTW this is very cool shop on my land that deals with supras just check it out. www.sound-performance.com they have the fastest street driven supra in mid-west.
  10. Yeah true that, but i am just thinking of the purpose why, why and why? I mean if you got somewhere in between 170-240K then you can defenatlly buy 2000GT meaning if you were to do anything to it you got it covered since you paying so much for the car. But swaping 1jz motor and not 2jz or even some other powerplant of Toyota i think is a waste. Becuase the car dosent really become faster its just becomes more of Hybrid then. Like for example taking a 71 Hokasuka and droping an rb26 in it would defenatly make it a hybrid rether then having that L20 or L28 motor which would make it a clone and has no overall value of the car. But in 2000GT that motor is the gold mine no matter where you go. Just like the original S20 out of 71 GT-R.
  11. Damw that 2000 GT looks sick i think it would be a bit cooler if it had 2jz in it, or the original motor. Allthough this car is worth about a 250K and to do anything to it would just depreciate in value because its not like the 2 door hokasukas 71-72 there is defenatlly plenty of those in Japan. But the 2000 GT there is aproximatlly 380 some made back in the 60's. But very impressive that some actually had the balls to swap a motor in this beatiful godess.
  12. WOW!!! Great info i have been reading this and some other ones about DIFFS for the last hour and it is very intresting other then that it is very easy to read and navigate just like Stony's RB swap guide. Make it a sticky or a FAQ very very helpfull. Allthough i got a question out of the ordinary. I got 75 280z, originally it was an auto and then it got swich to a 5-speed and diffrent diffrential. Jon originally posted that the longnose R200 came out of 2+2 Z, 280z and 280zx. I just want it to find out what i had in my Z before since it was and auto did it use a diffrent LSD? If now i have R200 that was an orginal from 280z back in 75 all i have to do is just replace my LSD to an open from Nismo or Kaaz/Cusco and that should hold up pretty well with my RB26 in it. I spun my wheels many times and it looked like both of the whell had spun but it seemed like one made more power then the other one. I know its kind of stupid of me asking this question but i just wanted youre advice guys. Great write up!!! Thanks everyone and specially you Jon!!!
  13. Oh my, oh my...Woawa viva... I have never seen so many Hakosukas in one place and for sale. This is like gods play ground or something. Damw i want one, oh maybe two or maybe 2 and an S30. Oh wow that would be great. The 2000GT is sick for $200k i saw one for sale for like $250k quater of a mil peace cake not a problem. Awesome place if there in the condition that it looks like they are 17-19 grand you can make a bargain out of them.
  14. Oh btw here is his e-mail r390sports@sbcglobal.net
  15. Hey there is a guy on this forum Nick name Racer98 and his name is Karim. Here is a link to the thread check it out. http://forums.hybridz.org/showthread.php?t=109668 I have ordered an R33 RB26 from him last week and there is other that have bough motors from him in particulary R33 RB26's and its top notch quiality what they say cherry motors. He gets them right from Japan shipped over to his wearhouse and then he shippes them directlly to you. Very nice guy to deal with and others will say the same about him. I dont want to say too much thats just cuz i havent got in my motor yet. But i am pretty sure that i wont be dissapointed. So maybe give him a ring tell him Mike K sent you he will understand.
  16. Well thats sure is a good price, but what did you settled on rb25 or the rb26? And is it a front clip or just a motor swap package? I think that r34 is neo motor.
  17. When they priced their build motors, i think there talking in about using top notch parts for the build up more likelly titanium con-rods and high end pistons with some crazy balanced crank. I think just parts for the build up will probably run around 20 to 25 grand and then there is alot of machined work involved so that will be the rest of youre bank account. I am thinking there is no way that this would be a dailly driver unless you could change youre clutch like every 2 months if not even earlier then that.
  18. Well congrats on youre motor. I have placed on order with Karim on my R33 RB26 motor last week. He really is a great guy with alot of patience because that all you need in this bussiness is alot of patience. Keep us posted on the inspection and also on youre swap. Oh btw how is the condition on the misc parts that he sent you, like the rwd pan and etc.
  19. 20. Yeah this place has been around for awhile. I think they were the ones who broke the drag record in theri R33 about 4-5 years ago. They sure can build engines, but so as anyone eles in competition like Signal Jun and etc. Great place the site hasnt been updated for awhile though.
  21. Called these guys last week, they had no stock whats so ever on the RB's. And there is acouple of threads here in the forum that have feedback about this place and others. One guys ordered an R34 RB26 motor with 6speed tranny from those guys, he said that they werent that helpful wouldnt go check on the motor and etc. So when he got it, guess what it was an R32 with 5speed and they wouldnt give him a price break on it. If you looking for a decent swap start considering around $5000 for full front clip and thats without the tranny....realisticly speaking, since most of us still dreaming!!!
  22. I think you need to make a goal for youre self as far as how much power you want to make on the certain motor that you will pick. If you are planning on making over 500 hp then go rb26 if you just wana show of youre z and power isnt that big of an issue, istead get an RB25. I am in the process of getting RB26 for mine the price diffrence is a bit higher since everyone is looking for an R33 RB26 motor, and the real $$$ diffrence in between 25 and 26 is the Greddy plenum that you have to get for the 25 which is like $750. Because that stock intake manifold just dont cut it for me. On the other hand RB26 will require alot of custom work to get it to work and the RB25 allmost everything is a bolt in swap. So go figure... Personally in my opinion if you got the $$$ go with the RB26 because in long run the money that you will spend on the 26 will be well worth... Just like Stony said "here is my 0.02 cents"
  23. Thanks Matt for the good info. I think of you as a King of RB's, so if you wana write some up for us that would be awesome.
