  1. This video is pretty old i have seen it before. The Power Amuse Skyline is around 600-700 hp and the supra is only about in its 500 hp. I have seen the Skyline in one of the magazines thats how i know. And the video is awesome with the english subtitles.
  2. Hi everyone! I have been searching for a decent RB26 motor for my Z and obviously a reasonable price. Well just to start this off i want to remind people that are new to this, that you cant just buy a full front clip and make everything work from it in youre car. You need to piece this swap together to put in youre 240/260/280Z. First of the things that you would need to buy from the importer would be a RWD tranny from RB25 and dont get fooled by those RB20DET and RB25DE trannys. Other information about swaping RB26 in Z can be found in RB forum look in the sticky. So i have tought about this and havent really found anything on the forum about it, or realliable sources that can provide RB26 engines. So i made a list of places that i have allready been in contact with and of course positive and negative things about them also. There is also has been a discusion of members here that can supply RB26 engines in full swap ready to go in Z. Another thing that i want to mention is some of us maybe looking for engines out of R33 and for those with $$$ even R34. Well for that matter only solution is probably trying to get it ordered directlly from Japan, which usually take about 90 days and about another 30-45 to clean, test and prep for it to be sold. I would also apreciate any other resources from anyone on this forum about such places that can provide RB26 engines. Here is a list that i have for now... Venus Auto www.venus-auto.com On in off in stock RB Motoring www.rbmotoring.com Up's: Very nice place to get youre RB26 from top notch service. Downs: Very $$$ "that should do it" R&T Motorsports www.rimstandings.com Up's: Good service, 2 wearhouses and atleast 2 RB26 in stock. Downs: Peacing the swap together, shipping from 2 diffrent locations. By far i would say that there are top 3 on my list. JDM Engines corp www.jdmenginescorp.com Up's: Good prices, usually one in stock. Downs: None known. Tokyo Imports www.tokyomotorimports.com Up's: Sells front clips in a very good and impressive condition, for $4500. Down: Working out of Canada, Warranty and freight. JDM Racing Motors www.jdmracingmotors.com Up's: None known. Downs: On in off instock. Location Canada. There is my list, i have called probably most of the import export places in the US by far the only reliable ones that deal with any kind of RB's are above. In conclusion to this if you have alot of $$$ you can get youre swap from RB motoring because it seems like there the best in this bussines and taking care of customers. If you dont want to go that route and still have alot of $$$ buy a decent front cut, you will be able to sell alot of parts that you wont use and buy a RWD tranny. Any other sugestions, solutions and recomendations can be posted here. Thanks for reading and I hope i helped.
  3. That a nice thing!!! You should defenatlly do it. When you pull up to the strip and do a burn out you could defenally win a competion, or some sick drifting. Haha!!
  4. Yeah i know, but does anyone know if he still could get one? I am not planning ongoing 4.5' thick, but wana get a nice intercooler.
  5. Sorry to bother up an old thread, but i was still wondering if anyone has any idea where to get one of the I/C for a RB26 swap. Does James from speedshopthagard is still be able to make or get one of these. If anyone knows please post a responce or just PM. Thanks guys!
  6. Looks very clean as always since Vildini does the job right. Yeah the piping looks a bit too long and the intercooler is a bit too small. How about those openings right by the radiator for the intake to go thru all the older Z's usually get all the pipiping run thru that. Hm i take that back...probably to run pipes thru there would take more bending and welding than just running it straight thru. Look great and clean that all that matters. GREAT JOB and WELL DONE!!!
  7. Wow a viva...!!! This is too much for me, at first i was looking at youre project photos and i tought to my self this is way too much and imposible and also too fast. But hey looks like you got everything under control. Isnt there only like a couple of 2jz Z around states? Well thats a debate for latter. But hey i dont if you dealt with this place before, called Sound Performance. These are the guys that have build one of the fastest street driven Supras in Mid West, i think its a race car now but still has all the interior pieces. These guys sell their own line of turbos and transmisions as also stall converters, basiclly anthing that you could do to a 2jz motor they have. If you want check them out at www.sound-performance.com Good luck too you i wana see this car brake into 8's that would be something wouldnt it?
  8. I think the mirrors are original for this year 2+2 Fairlady Z. Its because we buy are mirrors that flat jet black tall mirrors which were from the 70-74 fairlady z others came diffrent like the chrome plated ones or the other short black ones. Damw there is so many of these mirrors and i dont even have a set. LOL
  9. This Z looks very sickly sick. Actually the custom body kit is like those that they put on FDRX-7 from RE Amenia or whatever its called. Very eye appealing but more of a track race car then anything. You guys s buhould research a bit more about this Z and find out how to get this kit and modified abit from the drawing that i saw and see what you guys could do with it. The only thing that i would change is the rear diffuser and make it go around the sides where rear wheels are. VERY SICK!!!
  10. Wow, holy smokes... Nice Fairlady Z defenatlly worth the money.Because the mirrors and the wheels alone are probably $500 or more on top of that all the interior peices will either work with LHD conversion or RHD conversion. But the dash is in very poor condition and might need to get a dash cap imported from Japan but everything eles is fine. Glass is probably another thing that will come in handy for any Z project but its a 2+2 so... Other then that its a very nice deal i would of grab it in a hear beat if i still had my Z.
  11. Well not really the first post day was at the end of 05 we are only in August now so it has been about a bit over half a year and he didnt sell the car yet. But who knows he might of change his mind about it....
  12. Wow can i say that i am speachless with you Brian owning so many Skylines that we could probably open up a Nissan classic museum at youre place and just charge people money to look at them and then take them for a ride for even more. Any how, good luck to you and if you still wana sell the 71 i am up for it. LET ME KNOW PLEASE!!!
  13. Hey Brian! I didnt know you were selling youre car. Did it sell, or you decide to keep it. Please let me know, I will be intrested in something like that and defenatlly have the cash to get it. Please LET ME KNOW!!! Thanks in advance!!!
  14. Z going fast is pretty cool and always be...but the camel toe like Ms Canada here is one in life time oportunity...haha
  15. Lol...Wow i never had seen such a big crankshaft....Supersize
  16. Wow! All of those cars are just absolutelly sick!!! I mean you guys talking about this like we have tons of money to spent on are ZZZ's. All though one of them a RHD so its obviously from Japan or AUS. And those guys have the parts that are nearlly imposible to get here and that youre solution. Just like Brandon said GRRRRRRRRRRRR like the wheels but can cough enough money to order them $550 a pop without tires. All of those ZXT look sick in my opinion always liked the older Z's for some reason but there is just nothing classic about them.
  17. What is youre sourse, on these Watanabe rims i am looking for 16 but R-Type just like Alex from Vildini has on his car.
  18. Hey how much this this full swap run you??? All together with all the misc parts. Thanks
  19. Nice Thanks for youre help guys i think i found a place out in Barrington IL called the Ultimate Z body shop and a tunning performance shop in one. I will be getting work done to it over the winter and probably will be getting that cradle from Vildini.
  20. Hey there is also a SARD that makes a RPM tech with a small LCD screen next to it that shows speed air/fuel, boost and fuel pressure. You can also stack other gauges with it or use like blitz boost controler. I personally think that this is the ultimate.
  21. He told me one of the shops did it near by. He just supplied most of the parts.
  22. So who did you pick do youre swap??? A bit late i know that the swap was allready done but by who....????
  23. Uh pretty intresting combo. Still probably wont be as powerful as RB26 bottom end or RB30...but who knows maybe it will actually be alot more better.
  24. Pretty Nice!!! You moving along pretty fast in youre swap. How long did it allready took you to put everything together as it is right now. Good luck on all the piping!!
  25. Thank alot guys!!! I am gona be doing some work over the winter to my Z. Hopefully i wont run out of cash on my RB26 Swap. I was also wonderig if you guys know where to get or track those black JDM mirrors to go on the fenders. Thx
