Those mounts from JTR are okay... I made my own mounts, they are one piece and it allowed me to put the engine where i wanted. And its very strong... It cost me about $50 to do, and 4 hours... Saveing money is a good thing..
I have pretty stiff springs on the back and front... Im guessing that wont help any... What are some things I can do on race day that will improve my 1/4 mi time?. I really need help to get it fast at the track...
It could also be that not all cylinders are firing correctly... And check the firing order too... Maybe a fouled plug or wire...
let me know if you find the problem.
I dont know what carb to use... I have a choice between a Rockchester quadrajet (650 cfm) -or- An Edelbrock proformer (750 cfm )
Iv heard that the 750 is to much for a sb 350, that it will flood at an idel.
is this true?... what will give me better proformance? Anyone with expeirence in this matter please help... its been holding me back from being finished... I have a proformer manifold, vortec heads and bored 30 over. if that helps...
Thanks for the guesses... your probably right about the weight... I last weighed it with the s-six and no interior whatsoever... Alot of people seem to think that it wont be as fast as i think it will. I dont have a proformance cam or a lsd diff... what can i do about keeping traction?
A buddy of mine was running 14.2 w/ his v8z... pretty slow. it was an old 350 truck engine... i hope to at least get in the mid- 13's:burnout:
Im 3 days from completing my v8 z... what should the 0-60, and the 1/4 mile be?... sb 350 w/vortec heads, manifold, bored 30 over, headers w/ full race exhaust, TH350 tranny, 390 rear gears. About 300-330 hp. Any guesses? what should i expect?...
